Scrivener-Mellel footnote problem
When I copy text with a footnote in scrivener and paste it in Mellel, the footnote text is gone. This is strange, since it works in MS WORD and even in TEXT EDIT, as in every RTF document. I know that there is a workaround involving exporting the scrivener text and importing it in Mellel, but copy a...

"no error"-error on Mellel doc
Some weeks ago I created a mellel file. When I try to open it now, an error message appears: "no error". I have not changed the version of mellel since. What can have caused this?

Hi Bensch, there are also free alternatives to bookends which you could consider as well. Trouble is, at present only a german program comes to my mind, lit-link: You can find it under http://www.lit-link.de . It is filemaker-based, has a number of output formats and works well if you can live with ...

convert rtf text to footnotes
I often import RTF texts that I created in DevonThinkPro, but I can't see a way to enter footnotes in DTPro (maybe with certain delimeters ike in Latex) that appear in Mellel as footnotes. Has anyone found a way to accomplish this, or do you know any delimeters one can use to have text sections appe...

How-to shorten auto-titles in header
I just found a workaround for a recurring problem: I like to work with auto-titles in the header, but they frequently become too long for the header. Workaround: Adding "invisible" short titles after the normal titles in the text, in a special paragraph + character style, with letters in w...

Footnote: automatically add "next page"-note
When a long long footnote is continued on the next page; can Mellel automatically insert a pre-defined note? Like, for example "continued on the next page" or something (like in Word) ?
Thank you,
Mark

Ori, thank you for the quick reply: It is nice to see how committed development actually works! But back to the question: I understand the function that the system-wide commands and the f-keys are different, but I'd really like to use only the style variations, because they are easier to change glob...
