Re: Stop Creating New Documents. Please...

If you set preference to "Open template browser," it has a folder for "recent documents" in LH column...

And if you "command-O" from template browser, then template browser disappears, and "open" dialogue is there in its place.

...so doesn't this achieve what you want?

Re: iOS Mellel and Dropbox?

AFAIK Dropbox has not implemented the iOS "Document Provider" API, so you can't open, edit, save in apps direct from dropbox in iOS apps (eg. iOS Pages is in the same situation). This is discussed in Dropbox forum: https://www.dropboxforum.com/t5/API-support/Does-Dropbox-support-the-UIDocumentPicker...

Re: The Holiday announcement

I understand that depending on WHEN you bought Mellel you either have:

[*]Free updates for life, OR
[*]Free updates for two years

I assume Mellel 4.0 just continues this policy.

Its all spelled out here: http://www.mellel.com/blog/free-updates-note

Re: Want To Launch Mellel With The Last Active Doc.

Yes, there is:

In Mac System Preferences > General, ensure "Close windows when quitting an app" is UNCHECKED.

Then, in Mellel, with the document opened, quit Mellel using command-Q

When you open mellel again, the document should return.

Re: Cmd space not working even after disabling in spotlight

I know this is not exactly what you're asking for, but I have set CMD+L as a global keyboard switcher (System Preferences>keyboard>Shortcuts>input sources) and this way I can switch between languages just fine. (This also requires Mellel>preferences>language>"Synchronise language and keyboard" to be...

Re: page numbers of a text

I think what you want is to go to:

pallette>page>attributes>start at

In this box you can set the starting page number for a section.

Re: small request for Find and Replace (blocking sections)

To make this work, I think we need a "select all occurrences of a style" feature, (e.g. select all "body") - not only would this have a benefit for word count purposes,(http://forum.mellel.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=1841&hilit=+occurrences#p13665), but also ... ... you could have a checkbox in the find...

Re: iCloud...

I think your problem is to do with the difference between icloud "storage" (supported by OS X 10.9) and "iCloud Drive" (supported from OS X 10.10). Finder treats them differently. Quite probably all your files are there in OS X 10.10. They would be in the folder user-name/library/mobile documents, b...
