Touch Bar compatibility

I use styles a lot in Mellel, with F-keys, and usually have to place a label on every F-key to remember which style they refer to. So when I saw the Touch bar in the new Macs I first thought of Mellel and my Function bar. I hope Mellel can soon have an integration with Touch bar with keys showing th...

Use 'Folders' on iPad app

iPad version of Mellel is great, no doubt. My problem is, as long as I get many docs there, I would like to be able to organize them in a sort of grouping or 'foldering' system. iWork apps do have a way to arrange docs into folder-like groups. Mellel doesn't, AFAIK. If would be great if pre Redlers ...

Use of iCloud with non MAS copy of Mellel

Just to mention, perhaps others have noticed this too... I can reach the Mellel documents in iCloud with my old copy of Mellel (purchased directly from RedleX). I just got my copy of Mellel for iPad, that works with iCloud by default. When I did a research on my Mac with Spotlight, it found the docu...

Re: Small Caps in Citations - Bookends?

Check out the latest version of Bookends, 12.0.7. http://www.sonnysoftware.com/new/new.html thanks, but it doesn't solve this problem. Font mapping is up to Mellel, not to BE. BE sends text to Mellel with SmallCap format but it has to be mapped to yout font format for SmallCaps in Mellel as well. O...

Re: Small Caps in Citations - Bookends?

Hello, I found this old thread on SmallCaps in citations with Bookends + Mellel, through mapping. We are getting very close to this requested feature, since Mellel allows to map most Character formats to any custom styles. What I cannot map yet is SmallCaps. Bookends "sends" smallcaps to M...

Re: QuickLook plug in for Mellel 3

Coming back to the title subject in this thread, and now with 3.0.1 installed: here the plug in is working with new docs (or newly re-opened and re-saved docs) but not with old docs stored in the mac. Is that the foreseen behavior?

Re: multi-touch trackpad functionality

It is a nice workaround, although not exactly the same.
Thank you!

multi-touch trackpad functionality

I know this is not *the* feature we would need to see added to Mellel, but since it is now a part of OS X, it would be nice to have the ability to zoom in and out using multi-touch trackpad... Of course, in case this does not represent a lot of programming time, which I prefer the Redlers devote to ...

Re: Keep lines together in footnotes does not work

It seems to be part of the same limitation. You can only choose either notes do not split at all or that they split in paragraphs. Otherwise it will split anywhere. Keep options must be more complex, but I didn't think it would be so difficult for the Redlers after all they have already accomplished...

Re: Keep lines together in footnotes does not work

I got an immediate response from Redlex: Keep with and widows and orphans paragraph attributes don't work in footnotes because of the complexity that this constraint brings to text layout. You can, however, choose that footnotes will always stay in one piece or that they split only on paragraph boun...

Re: Keep lines together in footnotes does not work

Now I see there was another thread on the same issue, without answer (http://forum.redlers.com/viewtopic.php? ... her#p11623).

I'l try with direct support from Redlex.

Keep lines together in footnotes does not work

I am trying to have 2 lines kept together at the end of paragraph in footnotes, but without success? Can anyone figure out what I am doing wrong? I select paragraph style (Note text), edit it, select "Keep lines together" at start/end of paragraph, and write "2" in "lines at...

Re: Exporting Hebrew text to MS Word

Finally: I found that I can export the Mellel Hebrew text into Open Office with no problem (tho there are still occasional formatting footnotes), but not into MS Word which reverses the letters, not just with NTR but also with Lucida Grande. Is there any solution to this? AFAIK MS Word in Mac simpl...

Thanks for your response. There's the Index hack (not so great if you ask me) I knew it, but it is really more complicated than doing things manually. Use Preview.app or Adobe Reader and search for the names. Just write the pagenumbers down. This sounds much better than the hack. Thank you!

Indexing with Mellel

Being my deadline round the corner, now I *need* a way to make an index of cited authors in my thesis, and I cannot wait any more. So, could anyone with experience on the subject suggest me a program that could help me to do this within my Mellel document? As I have no experience on indexing (except...
