Re: Toward a Sneaky Way To Export Better to Word
In an effort to keep the conversation going for the need for Mellel to export to .docx format, I would like to add that I recenlty used pdf2docx.com to convert a 92 page exported PDF to .docx with no problems. Unlike doc.zone it was free. If I export to Word directly from Mellel 3.5xx it converts al...

Re: Exports of Mellel 4.0 to Word. Solutions, Expensive and
.docx export very important! Here's hoping it will be in 4.0.
Re: Mellel 4
I've been using Melle for many years. It's so much better than Word, but I have to submit my research using Word with footnotes at page bottom. To get there from Mellel is difficult at best; I almost have to completely redo the footnotes. Looking forward to a direct export to .docx and the new 4.0.

Re: Spell Catcher and Mellel
I too am having problems with spell checker. The checker just will not pick up mistakes. Also, language sets will not stay checked in preferences nor in the "character" tab. I checked English in both, but when I close the palettes and/or reopen the document both show "none" in th...

Re: grammarly: grammar and spelling
I agree. I too need all the help I can get with grammar. I used grammarly.com regularly. A plug-in would be great.

Re: doc and docx import
I too would like to see this in Mellel. I use Scrivener and Mellel for all academic writing. However, I do wish I could import a .doc from Scrivener into Mellel and maintain the numbered footnotes at the "foot" of the page and not endnotes at the "end" of the document. In any cas...

Thanks to Mellel el al. MTh Dissertation/Thesis Completed
Thanks to Mellel, Bookends, Scrivner, DevonThink and SlipBox, I've completed MTh thesis. A process made much less complicated with Mellel. Integration with Bookends worked great. Saved hours on footnotes and bibliography. TOC creation and formatting worked great with the help and guidance of those w...

Text to Speak?
Hello, This may be a mac os question, but was wondering if there is any way to turn on "Speech" in Mellel? I sometimes like to hear the text read out loud, even if it's a digital voice. Helps me catch errors I miss when reading alone. "Speech" is available on TextEdit (Right Clic...

Table of Contents
I am just completing my thesis proposal and using Mellel made the process much easier--except I'm having quite a time with the TOC. I just cannot format a ToC so that it looks like the perfectly formatted one shown at the end of the Mellel Tutorial "Mentions and ToC." I either get no dots ...
