Thank you, @Icelander. Eventually, I fixed the situation directly in the exported document in Word, by selecting all the footnotes there.
But I will take into account your answer for future references, thank you.

Changing Note Atrributes with unintended results
Hello, people, I have a serious issue. I have a very long document with many words in small caps in hundreds of notes. While I was writing the document, I create a specific style for those words. I have tried to edit the Note Attribute (to change the symbol of reference, i. e., the numbers of the no...

Re: Separate a bit text and footnote calls
Sorry, English is not my primary language. I am referring to the numbers that identify the footnote. This is what I have when I mix italics and those numbers: https://i.ibb.co/6ry9pGH/Captura-de-pantalla-2019-08-22-a-las-19-46-55.png As you can see, it is a bit anesthetics. It could be better if a s...

Re: Separate a bit text and footnote calls
Thank you, David, that is helpful indeed. But I was wondering if there is a, so to speak, automatic way of doing this, in the sense that this kind of spaces is added to all footnotes calls.

Separate a bit text and footnote calls
Hi everyone!
Sometimes, specially when I write in italics, the text is too united to the footnote calls, to the point that they overlap a bit. Is there any quick way to add a small space between the footnote call and the text or to separate them in any other way?

Re: Feature request: Display non-breaking spaces
I shall rescue—again—this request after seven years (and thirteen(!) after the original one possed by zoul).
I have no technical knowledge to know how difficult this could really be, but it would be deeply appreciated if this change could be implemented.

Re: Page smaller than it should when printed
Hi Janet: Thank you for you insights. I have no annotations in this document and, besides, the problem occurs when I print it. I have tried to export the document, selecting the "Export annotations" box, and the document is still right. But when I print it or convert it into PDF via the pr...

Page smaller than it should when printed
Hi, everybody. I have a problem whith the document I am writing. While I am editing it, in the screen it appears normally. But when I print it (or convert it in PDF) the text appears smaller than it should. The problem does not occur when I export the document to PDF, but, as I said, it does happen ...

Re: Feature request: Display non-breaking spaces
I wish to insist in this old feature request. I think it is a very minor change, but I really miss this feature in the otherwise fantastic Mellel. I think actually that it is quite astonishing that Mellel do not display differently ‘spaces’ and ‘non-breaking spaces‘ since virtually every other word ...
Re: Hello
But I'm pretty sure that 2.9 will satisfy your needs in any case. DRM You are right, the 2.9 version is perfect for me in this case. I haven't had time to explore it deeply, but I found the new Mellel excelent. I only miss now the character spacing. And I would also like to see differently the &quo...

Re: Hello
Hi, DylanMuir , thank you for your welcoming, and your encouraging words. At first sight, I don't think that ahankinson is using true small caps in the image he (or she) posted. The key to distinguish true and false small caps is in the "weight". Usually, false small caps are lighter than ...
Re: Hello
A picture speaks a thousand words! We are talking about two different things. My fault, since I didn't specified it. It seems you are talking about the "false" small caps that Mellel — and most text processing programs — generate automatically. Instead, I was mentioning the "true"...
Re: Hello
Thank you for rapid and kind response. About your first advice, I'm not sure if I understood it straightly, but I'm unable of doing so. I created the style and the shortcut. But when I follow the following path: write in normal style --> change via shortcut to "Surname" style --> write the...
Hello
Hello, people. This is my first post here, just to introduce myself. As I told to Ori Redler via email, I'm the happy owner of a brand new Mellel license. I'm just delighted with this software, which I plan to give a very important usage: I want to write my doctoral thesis with it. Anyway, I want to...
