Re: Ori Redler 1964-2020
In my philosophy, it is what through what each person contributes that helps make the world a better place. And the hallmark of an individual is in the originality. My world has been greatly enhanced and improved through using Mellel for my writing reports. The Mellel features I use regularly are st...

Mellel 5 and still no vertical ruler
I have posted this on the other forum (2 forums?) in the hope of… I should love to use Mellel for all my writing, but without a vertical ruler no way. I asked about vertical ruler at Mellel 4.1. Someone sent me a link for a free ruler app which I tried, but no. As I said all that time ago, is having...

I asked about vertical ruler at Mellel 4.1. Someone sent me a link for a free ruler app which I tried then not. As I said all that time ago, is having a vertical ruler really too much to ask?

Mellel 4.2 and pre-existing templates
In your answer to 'Mellel 4.2 not working', you sad : "Regarding the single table style/template. When you open an existing document that was created before Mellel 4.2 its style set is given one table style which is the minimum required for a style set to be valid. What is shown in the video ar...

I would love there to be a vertical ruler.
Is that so very much to ask?
Please, thank you.

Line numbering
I am familiar with how to use line numbering. However, despite selecting ignore empty lines, many empty lines (between paragraphs) are for no apparent reason still being numbered. It is particularly annoying (aesthetically) that the first empty line at the top of a page is being numbered. Any sugges...

Vertical ruler
Having just upgraded to M4, (early days to comment on anything else, I need to finish writing something that I was using M3 for,) I am disappointed to find there is still no vertical ruler. Surely it wouldn't too much to expect a v/r? After all, if the aspiration is for Mellel to be one's only word ...

Mellel or Pages
I am a surveyor/lawyer (don't ask!). I use M (latest version) for lengthy reports, I find it excellent, particularly autostyle, footnotes and line numbering. I use Pages '09 for writing letters, usually one or two pages, rarely longer than half a dozen. Also I have Nisus Pro that I sometimes use for...

Re: Auto-Titles - simple instructions, please!
I have a question.
I have saved the styles I want for character and paragraph; also I've changed the layout for the auto-title )for the different levels, but the font that the auto-title uses is courier whereas I want Times Roman.
What should I do now please to change courier to a font I want.

Auto-Titles - simple instructions, please!
Mellel 3.4.3b2 (on Snow Leopard) I understand what an auto-title is and can do (and I've watched the video on using Auto-Titles), but despite having searched/read quite possibly all of the questions/comments on the forum, as well as Mellel's help, I am still unclear as to precisely the steps to take...

Re: Paragraph numbering
I've already tried that, thanks. As you say, it's a bit cumbersome. I've also experimented with customising Level 2, etc but that's not ideal either. Since it looks like I'd need to remember to auto-title the start of each paragraph, unless there is a way to do what I'm after, I may as well stick to...
