Re: Feature request: Dynamic character style matching for lists and tables

I've just changed the title of this post (formerly "Feature request: Dynamically match list symbol character style to text character style") to include tables as well. As with list symbols, I would love to be able to match the character style of my tables to the character style of whatever...

Re: Mellel 4.2 is Here!

Niiiice! I've only just begun playing with the new tables, but so far they seem to be everything you say they are, and probably more. The only thing that caused me a moment of consternation was the disappearance of all the old table controls that used to be on the Table palette, but I soon found the...

Re: 4.2 tables: missing option

Hi Janet! Select your table and click on the pencil icon that appears at the bottom to bring up the Edit Table Attributes popover. The option you want is under the heading "Position." It's also at the top of the Attributes tab of the Table palette, just under the text direction button. And...

Feature request: Dynamic character style matching for lists and tables

In the Edit Style window for a list style, the Character Style popover includes a Style pulldown menu, where I can choose any of my defined character styles for the list symbol. Unfortunately, that menu is missing the one option I really want, which might be called something like “Match text charact...

OK, will do, if I ever find another bug. Considering that this is the first one I've encountered in six years of using Mellel, that might take a while :-)

Re: Mellel 4 Questions

Regarding new documents using the default template, choose File->New with default (or command+shift+N) to create a new document based on the default template Ah, "New with Default" – this is a new feature of Mellel 4, I guess? Thanks for the tip! The old color scheme was much more distinc...

Re: Mellel 4 Questions

3. Why can’t I open to a new default page immediately when launching Mellel 4? Mellel 4 now requires a second click to open a blank default page Not only that, with Mellel 4, every time I create a new document I get the template browser, even though I have a default template selected in preferences...

Mellel 4 sidebar/zoom bug plus suggestion

I've noticed an unexpected behavior that I think I can definitely call a bug: Open a document in either Mellel view or compact view but not in full-screen mode. Set the zoom level to Fit Width. Click on one side of the document window to resize it and drag until the window is fairly narrow – no more...

zoom changes in 3.4

Yesterday I downloaded 3.4, and in the release notes I see that several zoom-related issues have been fixed. I hadn't encountered any of those issues myself, but as soon as I started working with 3.4, I did notice a big change in zoom behavior, and I'm curious about it. I’m a translator, so I spend ...
