Another Q on Find/Replace
Hi all, When doing find/replace, can you set the variation of one of the groups (=backreference)? E.g., I want to go through and find everywhere that at least one letter is followed by a space, a digit (at least one), and then (19##. I then want to change the letters to italics (which is my B variat...

Search for Changed Character/Paragraph Type?
Hi all, How do you search for a specific CHANGED character/paragraph type, i.e., one that has a black diamond to its left in the styles menu? I keep trying to search for "anything" or "any character," but then when I go to set the style, the "diamond" styles are not in ...

Re: Problems Exporting to Word Doc
Dear Bülow, Thank you VERY much for your help! I think I've got this sorted—I'm now adjusting character style by "variation" rather than pressing command-I (or whatever). Greek looks to be OK now too. So it looks like I need to just change my style to the "default" set before exp...

Re: Problems Exporting to Word Doc
So I tried switching the Mellel doc to "Default" style before exporting to Word (without making any other adjustments), and it's still giving me the same issues (mostly). I tried all three "matching" options (even after reading about these in the Mellel manual, I'm still not enti...

Re: Problems Exporting to Word Doc
Thanks for your help! I've created my own character/paragraph styles for Titles and Subtitles, to fit the style guide of my field. I don't just go through and manually adjust everything, but have a style for each level of heading, and for the body, and for footnotes. What is the difference between d...

Problems Exporting to Word Doc
Hi, I've always had trouble with exports to Word format. When I open in Word 2008 (Mac), formatting is pretty wacky: lots of things become bold, book titles are only half-italicized, Greek unicode words become a mixture of fonts, footnotes become a mixture of font sizes, etc., etc. I've got two shor...

Re: Problem Finding Hebrew Unicode
THANK YOU! This worked—I hadn't set it to "one or more" and "greedy," although I'm not sure why this was causing it to find single Roman characters. (and to answer your first question — no, I need to have Times New Roman for the English, but then a different font for each other l...

Problem Finding Hebrew Unicode
Hi, I'm writing a paper mainly in English. I also use Greek and Hebrew. I have Greek set as my "secondary font" with my preferred Greek font. Therefore, when I switch to the Greek keyboard, it automatically gives me the correct font (instead of the Times New Roman version of Greek). So far...

Re: Not Scanning Bibliographic Links with Sente
Could someone from Mellel please respond either to this forum post or my "contact us" form request? It's been almost a month since I originally posed this question with no one responding.

Re: Not Scanning Bibliographic Links with Sente
No, under Mellel preferences, it still has "Sente" as the bib manager.
I recently inserted an image into the document—could that be confusing the scanner?
I'd really appreciate help on this.

Not Scanning Bibliographic Links with Sente
Hello, I've been happily using Mellel with Sente with no problems. Recently, though, when I hit "Scan document" (with Sente open in the background), it brings up a window saying "Scanning document . . . " and just sits there without anything happening. It is only doing this with ...
