Re: Mail merge - from Mellel to a pile of envelopes
Affinity is not a word processor. It would be a horror to write in Affinity. Clay tablets and sharpened sticks would be better - but I found I could import from Mellel into Affinity in mere seconds. It's just a few mouse clicks to add the merge placeholders in Affinity, and then you've got your mai...

Re: Fonts in Mellel for iPad
I'm afraid Apple has made changes in iOS 14 that blocks apps from using custom installed fonts if they're not using the modern font access API. A fix is in the making and will be available in Mellel 5.0.5 I've got the same problem in several other applications on my iPad Air after upgrading to iPad...

Re: Beefing up the iPad App
I agree with everything you wrote regarding the iPad version of Mellel. Have stopped using the iPad version since it's not up to the standards of what I hoped for regarding Mellel.

Re: Apple Color Emojis
I did a test, inserted three different flags within a Mellel document. The flags didn't show up, only the letters. Then exported the file to an rtf file. Opened the file in Nisus Writer Pro and MS Word. In both applications the flags were visible. Opened up the rtf file in Melle, no flags visible. M...

Re: Style Sets on the Ipad
Can I use my Style Sets that I use with Mellel on the Mac on the Ipad? If I open a document, the style sets are correct. But I would like to have them available for new documents on the Ipad as well. Unfortunately, I never got these things to work within the iPad version of Mellel. It's claimed to ...

More output options - As of today, Mellel sees print as the main destination for your documents. Mellel will continue to be an excellent WYSIWYG tool but more output options will be added. Among these we can include stuff like epub and html but also other documents formats like docx, indesign and p...

Re: Mellel + ePub - your thoughts and requests
Mellel on iOS : The Mellel iOS app was initially designed as a companion to the Mac version and less as a stand-alone app. As a stand alone app its capabilities are more basic. Our plan was to bring the iOS version up to par with the Mac version. But the gap between the two did not shrink at the pa...

Re: Mellel + ePub - your thoughts and requests
Since I'm using my iPad Air 3 more and more, and my MBP not so often nowadays, I would very much like the iPad version of Mellel to be on par with the macOS version of Mellel. I would very much like to have features like hyphenation, auto-title management, keyboard shortcuts, be able to create TOC f...

Re: Problem with direction when using English
I tried to type (both in Swedish and English), and all the punctuations worked just fine. No problems whatsoever with neither commas nor periods behave odd in my texts.
I have the latest update of Mellel, the latest macOS on my MBP retina 2012.

Have you tried LaTeXiT instead? It may work (I haven't used in in years) with both Mellel and Catalina.

Re: News from mellel ios
I hope there are plenty of improvements, taking the iOS version closer to the macOS version regarding features and so on.
