Line numbering was the only reason I bought Nisus Pro (which turned out to not work well with complicated documents with many (i.e. 50+) footnotes).

Just a quick follow up. There is only one type of font from Linotype, and it is in fact Opentype (many thanks for the suggestion of checking, though.) Lotus Linotype

Is there a known problem with using the font Lotus Linotype (a commercial Arabic font) with Mellel? While it does render on the screen and in print, it appears 'blocky', losing all its elegance. It works fine with other word processors (Nisus Writer Pro) and with XeLaTeX. Any ideas what's going on?

I asked this of Eric of DevonTechnologies a while back, and he said all languages (that are not pictoral) should basically work fine, since the AI works partly on proximity of words, amongst other things. I have found that this is true with Arabic...should be fine with a romance language.
