rpcameron: I agree. One can't limit BibDesk just to LaTeX, and my experience is that LaTeX users are most often users of other wordprocessors as well. I personally don't use LaTeX for letters, for example, but nevertheless I would often like to include references in letters.

I'd recommend BibDesk to anyone -- no matter whether they use LaTeX or not. For me it's the best software for managing annotations, abstracts, and article and book PDFs, and that's a strong argument on its own.
