Re: Revisiting Sparkle

Is Sparkle compatible with an application that has a licencing duration? Hypothetically if I had registered in March 2006 and used Sparkle to go from 2.0.6 then to 2.2.7.2 in March 2008 them my next auto update put me over the limit is there any way back from there?

Re: Is there a way to cycle through open document windows?

You could also try Witch by Peter Maurer. It will cycle through document windows and also restore minimised windows.

Re: File size increased nearly 10 fold

Not a big issue (no pun intended), but I just noticed that Mellel files sizes have increased nearly 10 fold. Old one-page letters that were no more than 10 kb now are rountinely 100+. Just wondering why that may be. Do you have any images in there? I seem to recall that images could get bigger than...

I'd email the team here at Redlex
I think I will. I don't like to do so without trying other avenues first. I would be good to see what is causing this problem though.

‘Wobbly’ Scrolling

I have a Mellel document where the document within the application windows oscillates slightly from side-to-side as I scroll through the document. The slightly disconcerting thing is that the ruler within the frame of the Mellel window does the same thing. I’ve had this for a number of Mellel releas...

Thanks for that, it was very useful. I have a mellel document that I always wanted to convert to HTML to avoid the need to use PDF files. Once converted, I just needed to extract a the image files from the Mellel package, convert them and then a little bit of hacking within the html to have the fini...

I just had the same problem although for different reasons - migrated to a new Machine and had not installed the plugin. When I installed the plugin I could not search document contents. To force a re-index in spotlight, I added my Documents folder to the list of of private folders in the Spotlight ...

Flush the contents of your spotlight cache. Do this by opening System Preferences > Spotlight > Privacy, and adding your hard drive to the list of directories that spotlight should *not* scan. Now remove your hard drive from that list. Presumably you could just add your Home folder to ease the burd...

I have asked the Redlers to either up png in this order, as it is a more efficient format without legal issues such as those of the gif and tiff formats. Thanks for the explanation - I feel that I am in a bit more control over the content of my file now. I would also second your suggestion and also...
