Re: Feature request: split view
We got it! And I must say it's a particularly good implementation of the feature. Thank you to the programmer(s)!

Re: Feature request: split view
This seems to be one of the more popular requests, as it keeps coming back to the top of the forum. I really hope it isn't a hard one to implement.

Re: Feature request: split view
I wanted to give this a bump. Of the features Mellel lacks this is the most significant for me yet probably one of the easiest to program. Please?

Re: Just for fun, what is your longest Mellel document...
At the moment my dissertation has 207268 words and 1345 citations + many cross-references (the end product will be shorter) in one file. Mellel handles it just fine, it only takes a few more seconds to save the document compared to a normal size document. Ah, good, I was hoping someone would have a...

Re: Just for fun, what is your longest Mellel document...
I have not yet written anything in Mellel that needed a lot of cross references. I imagine it has the potential to slow things down a lot unless the data structures and programming are very well designed.

Re: Feature request: split view
Oh yes please! Being able to have a window or part open on a different part of the same document to see exactly how you worded something elsewhere would be really helpful.

Feature Request: Equalise row heights in tables.
With all the attention tables are getting I looked, but still it seems this is not there. We can select some columns and equalise their width, please could we also be able to select some rows and equalise their heights? This may not be used as often as equalising column widths but it is still a usef...

A thesis? That's an important document! Nice to have a word-processor you can trust with such things, good luck with it.

Just for fun, what is your longest Mellel document...
Yes, the title says it all, post in this thread the word count for your longest single Mellel document. My novel passed 173,000 words today and it is in a single document file. I back up ruthlessly including several on-site backups and weekly off-site backup. I have not found the software slowing to...

Re: Support for PPC
OK, I am a PPC user and will not be able to spend the money to go Intel for some time; where can I download the latest version of Mellel that will support my system? Can you at least keep that version available? You can always download version 2.9.1 here: http://www.connectnw.com/redlers/mellel291....

Re: Mellel 3.0 is Here
Am I reading correctly? I am using a G5 Quad with 10.5.8 and 10.4.11 and this update won't run at all on my system unless I am mistaken.

Re: Way OT; Could someone translate a short phrase to Hebrew?
I'm designing a squadron badge for use filming a script apparently featuring a fictitious Israeli fighter squadron, and although it looks fine without text on it I think it might look better with the text. One thing I should mention: Israeli fighter quadroons do not have names . . . if you want you...

Way OT; Could someone translate a short phrase to Hebrew?
I promise this is a one-off, but I know of no better place to ask this, and it's a very short phrase. It isn't essential, but I'd like the modern Hebrew translation of the phrase "Moon Horse Squadron". I'm designing a squadron badge for use filming a script apparently featuring a fictitiou...

Re: Paste text and have it take on current styles?
Hi guys, I'm having some trouble with keyboard shortcuts too. I set up Cmd-Shift-V in System Preferences as "Paste Plain Text" in Mellel. When I fire up Mellel it works fine. If I quit Mellel (I think this is how it works), the keyboard shortcut is lost. It no longer works and is no longe...
