Footnotes that link in a PDF

It would be really great if... When you created a PDF from a Mellel doc that contained footnotes, the reference symbols and note symbols were double-clickable and navigated to each other, as they do in an actual Mellel document. The PDF spec supports linking, of course. Is there any way this could h...

Page break in auto-titles

When formatting auto-titles, there is a little blue token for Line Break, but none for Page Break or Section Break.

We need those so that you can make every new Chapter start on a new page, for example.

Feature request: split window

Now that I'm writing book-length projects with Mellel, I would really like the ability to view two places in a document simultaneously. You know, look at p. 28 and p. 212 at the same time to compare, fix incompatibilities, etc. Word, BBEdit, and others do this by allowing you to split the main windo...

Feature request: Draft View (no pagination indicators)

A Draft View would show an unbroken stream of text and notes, but no "page" indicators: i.e., just like Compact View but no headers/footers or page divider lines. MS Word used to call this "Galley View" (I think), and I used it most of the time. When I'm immersed in text-creation...

Suppress headers/footers in Compact View

A year later, another vote for something like "Draft" view.

It would be just like Compact View but with headers/footers suppressed. Page line suppressed too? Maybe.

Could be accessed by a Compact View pref, or another View menu item called Draft View (or Text Stream, or whatever).
