I was the one who collected and worked on it quite intensively. That was last year, still on the mailing list. It was quite fun for a week or so, but I cannot check the results in the newly distributed version of the dictionary and decided to let it go. Maria Hi Maria, did you actually compile a ne...

Better German hyphenation control?

Is there any better German hyphenation control out there? The one that comes with Mellel by default is awful!

Isn't there a chance that we could finally get a reliable hint on when we can expect cross referencing? Is it February, March, April, ...?

Tagging content and switching it on/off

While writing my papers I keep certain content without knowing if I will use them in the final version. Content can be anything like words, lines, paragraphs, graphics. Is there a way to tag such content as to be "preliminary" or "needs to be reviewed" (or whatever status I might...

Well, many of us CANNOT wait. Of course there is no use in releasing a half-finished product, but why isn't it whole-finished now? They promised us cross-referencing before the end of 2006, and it is still not here. I think we have to realise that although the product Mellel is great, the company R...

Searching for bibliography reference?

Is there a way to search for bibliography references in the text?

I use a lot of bibliography references in my text and sometimes need to find other references of the same author. So far, however, I couldn't find a way to do so.

Changing the background color for an existing document?

I just wanted to change the background color for an existing document. But that doesn't seem to work. Even after restarting Mellel, the document's original background color remained. The setting only applied to new documents. So my question is: How do I change the background color for an existing do...

• URL-links. Not really cross-references, but I would like to see clickable URL and MailTo Links built in. • PDF-Export. It would be really great, if Mellel gets an enchanced PDF export with working links so that you could click URLs, TOC entries, Notes and Cross References and jump to the referenc...

Re: Minion Pro vs. Cardo

I think it would be nice to have both options: • OpenType All Small Caps • OpenType Small Caps I agree completely: this would satisfy all users. I personally need OpenType Small Caps, while I would never again use fake Small Caps. Same for me: real OpenType Small Caps or none at all. Real Small Cap...

Re: Minion Pro vs. Cardo

Still, if you need to have the upper case as capitals and the lower case as small caps, all you need to do is apply "All small caps" OpenType feature and the Small Caps feature. The result is just what you want... Well I fear that's just not what you want. As you can see in the screen sho...

Re: OpenType Small Caps bug

For most OpenType Fonts, Small Caps are not rendered as expected: Try Minion Pro’s small caps in TextEdit (CMD+T > Typography palette)! There are two options: “Small Capitals” and “Small Capitals from Capitals”. Mellel seems to apply both letter case options at the same time. TextEdit: O PEN T YPE ...

Re: Minion Pro vs. Cardo

Obviously this phenomenon is related to the font. Cardo does it right, whereas all the OpenType fonts I have don't. No, it’s a Mellel bug. Try Minion Pro’s small caps in TextEdit (CMD+T > Typography palette)! There are two options: “Small Capitals” and “Small Capitals from Capitals”. Whereas in Tex...

I already has, in version 2.1.2.
Thank you very much for that hint! I really didn't realize that and now I'm a little embarassed.
