Re: .mellel -> html
When I implemented autotitles, I had assumed that they would always be used as headings. I therefore did the semantically correct thing and translated them as h elements, which are block level html elements by default ie they are always a paragraph to themselves. just as a small comment: it would b...

Re: .mellel -> html
one of my auto-title levels is starting at "1994" and then increased by one. The result in the html-file is just 1, 2, 3 ... instead of 1994, 1995, 1996 ... Oops!! This should be relatively easy to fix. [*]the next level restarts at 1 in my Mellel document, but it is only one flow from 1 ...

Re: .mellel -> html
Well man, great after the firts test! Great but not perfect: it seems to work fine if I use a "free text" as hyperlink, but if I use the "title of auto title", it is converted as plain test. Oops. I may have misinterpreted how to deal with that option. I'll have a look at it. UP...

Re: .mellel -> html
Thanks f, that definitely doesn't work — but should be easy to fix. I'll get onto it! UPDATE: I've fixed your issue — redownload from still.id.au and let me know what you think. Note that the link is not particularly useful in your test document, because the page break is not/cannot be reproduced in...

Re: .mellel -> html
Any chance that I can get cut down sample documents to play around with? Reiner: none of the cross-reference text is showing up? What kind of cross-references are you using? What exactly is wrong with the exporting of auto-titles? fbrzvnrnd: I take it that your cross-reference text is showing up, bu...

Re: .mellel -> html
Sorry f, Easiest way would be to download: http://still.id.au/Mellel%20HTML%20Exporter.zip Run the Mellel XSLT Export Runner script, select the document you want to transform, and then the xslt stylesheet enclosed with the download. This should work with both compressed and uncompressed mellel xml. ...

Re: .mellel -> html
As an update, I've now got pretty substantial preliminary support for cross-references in the HEAD version of the stylesheet (at http://cinaedulus.org/svn/mellel2html). There are still some kinks and some bits which are lacking support, but I'd appreciate feedback from anyone who felt inclined to gi...

Re: .mellel -> html
That would be because I put it together before cross-referencing was in Mellel. I will have a look at it over the Australia Day long weekend and see if I can't get that working.
Offers of beer would, of course, expedite this.

They're usually very fast at getting registration details out. I wouldn't get too worried yet.

Re: .ODT Support
On a more positive note, I did get as far as putting together a rudimentary Mellel -> ODF converter. My last rough version from late May is here Thanks for sharing this. You don't happen to have a Something -> Mellel converter lying around somewhere? :P I failed miserably when I tried to make my ow...

Re: .ODT Support
it should not be too difficult to write an XSLT to convert between the two. Actually, it's non-trivial at best, largely due to problems with the implementation of ODF in OpenOffice, the dominant UA for ODF. For example, ODF specifies two types of lists: a style of XML list which is very similar to ...

Re: Can Mellel be opened on the PC by MSW
Shouldn’t it be possible to open and read the xml file anywhere? You have to unzip the xml and then open it in a text editor / word processor. That way you would always have access to the text (and the images) in the file. Technically true, but the average user is likely to be confused by the perha...

Re: Spotlight for Mellel (using Mozy)
Using mdls at the command line to list all of the metadata fields for a sample Mellel file of both binary and XML formats, the options are: kMDItemContentType = "com.redlex.mellel.binary.document" for a Mellel binary, and kMDItemContentType = "dyn.ah62d4qmuhk2x45pfrv0gn5a" for a ...
