Re: mac hebrew keyboard, metheg and maqqeph
Thank you. I can't believe I missed the maqqeph! That's where I used to find it and tried in vain yesterday; but alas, that's it. Sorry to have bothered you. However, I still am unable to find metheg in the Keyboard Viewer (both Hebrew and Hebrew Qwerty keyboards). I've looked at every keystroke com...

mac hebrew keyboard, metheg and maqqeph
I can't find the metheg or the maqqeph in the native mac Hebrew keyboard. I use SBL and EzraSR fonts. I must be missing something simple and basic, but I'd appreciate anyone who can help. It would also be nice to be able to type the "generic" accent (< over the accented syllable). --John

Re: Note Symbol superscript issue
I had tried making other note symbol changes in order to activate the "save" button. When I did this, would make the other changes but not the superscript change. HOWEVER! Your suggestion to access note symbol attributes via the "T" led me to discover that the note symbol was set...

Re: Note Symbol superscript issue
Thank you! Our guess was a bug. Hard to believe such a commonly used feature would have escaped Redlers! Even when you choose other check boxes so that the save button turns blue (from grey), it will save the other changes but not the superscript change.

Note Symbol superscript issue
In "Note Style: Footnote" under "Note Symbol" there is a checkbox for selecting superscript or not. I have several problems here. First, when I check the superscript box or uncheck it, the "Save" button remains grey so I cannot change that style feature. Second, I have ...

Auto Title Font Won't Change
After my OSX "upgrade" I lost Century Schoolbook (my standard font for 10 years worth of writing!). I replaced this font with Palatino in "Character Style" in my Style menu for all styles. I've gone through and double checked my paragraph styles so my headings refer to this chara...

Mellel cannot find a font available in another program.
Recently I did a reinstall of Mellel on a new SSD, with upgrade from Lion to El Capitan. My primary default font that I used in Mellel for the past 10 years, Century Schoolbook, is no longer available in Mellel (bracketed by parentheses in the pull down menu). But this font *does* appear and is usab...

Re: Cmd space not working even after disabling in spotlight
I know this is not exactly what you're asking for, but I have set CMD+L as a global keyboard switcher (System Preferences>keyboard>Shortcuts>input sources) and this way I can switch between languages just fine. (This also requires Mellel>preferences>language>"Synchronise language and keyboard&...

Re: Cmd space not working even after disabling in spotlight
I don't think this problem concerns Mellel, but rather the system preferences. System preferences > Keyboard > input source > shortcuts and tick the box 'Select previous input source'. Then the shortcut should work. Since I write in several modern languages, all using the Latin alphabet, I have dis...

Cmd space not working even after disabling in spotlight
Greetings, My institution just upgraded my HDD to a SSD (with upgrade from Lion to El Capitan), so I did a fresh Mellel install. I disabled both shortcut keys in Spotlight to be able to use this shortcut to switch languages in Mellel. But the "cmd+space bar" still does not switch. I can on...

2.9.1 Margins and Line Spacing
Ever since I downloaded 2.9, the top and bottom margins on all existing documents that I open, as well as new documents have a 1.25" top and bottom margin rather than the 1" margin I used in all styles for the past (who knows how many) years. In addition, when I open existing documents, th...

Re: Font Change after Snow Leopard
Thank you to all for helpful replies, and my apologies for delayed expression of gratitude and update on solution. Indeed, Ezra SR dropped from Font Book when my files were transferred to the new computer (that was not the only problem with fonts, either, as some of you warned might be the case). In...

Font Change after Snow Leopard
Greetings, My school just transferred all my programs and files from my old MacBook Pro (running Tiger) to a new MacBook Pro (running Snow Leopard). I just opened for the first time Mellel (2.7.3 build 2) with my most recent document and the Hebrew font has changed on screen and printout from Ezra S...

Re: Change the Format of Auto-Titles
One further clarification regarding "ad hoc." In my earlier post, I wrote that I went to the "character palette." In fact, I was going to the "main font" palette. Going to the "character palette" allows access to styles necessary to assign a style to a flow le...
