Re: Wishlist for version 2.6

better styles (I consider 17 and 18 one thing, really) Ori, Did you mean to say "I consider 11 and 12 one thing, really" in connection to better styles, or am I just reading your intent incorrectly? 11. Improved style variations (not a fixed number of 8 style variations but a variable num...

Re: Wishlist for version 2.6

Most urgent: 15. Improved image handling (text float around images [and tables] and anchoring of images [and tables] to text) 12. OpenType (large and) small caps, as well as sub- and superscripts 11. Improved style system (the Mellel concept of styles aside, the style system in general could be a b...

I also find this to be an inconsistency with Mellel that should be addressed soon. It would make the style set feature more useful, as much of the power of styles in my mind is there use with auto-titles. It would also make it much easier to share style sets with others.

I agree, and I hope that the next version (or at least a new version with the release of leopard) will address this issue.

I think that the dock icon could use a bit of a refresh. However, my only real hope is that they get rid of the roman numeral. To me it's just makes the icon look tacky (unprofessional).

It's not an option in the poll, but my preference would be an "in-line editing" solution for inserting and editing auto-titles.

I would also like to see this feature, as it's really the only thing that keeps me using word. However, I would like to see this "live" formating feature work with all supported reference managers in Mellel, which at this point would also include Sente. Some people (like me) will prefer us...

I would love to see this sort of feature. Although I wonder if it could be more of a generic conditional formating feature that could also be applied to other situations. Perhaps it would work to have different before and after paragraph spacing for any "block sequence" of similarly format...

Wow! That's more like how I would the Mellel interface to look. Very nice clean, professional and great attention to detail. The Unified look is nice for a start, but the TabWell, the StyleDisplay and Paragraph Ruler look much better with a rounded "corner" style. Likewise, the rounded cor...

This is a good example of why I would like to see the ability to add borders and shading to paragraph (and character) styles. With this feature, adding a line under an autotitle would be a snap.

I agree that the icon could use a bit of work to better reflect the professional nature of Mellel. I'm fine with the retro typewriter as a concept. It's distinctive and not used by any other word processor out there. There is still room for improvement and I might approach the style in a more illust...

I first encountered Mellel on the old redlers website and it didn't make me very confident in trying the software. The old site didn't communicate the sense that Mellel was a refined, quality product, with an "insanely great" writing experience. Nor did the old site help me understand Mell...

What if, instead of a separate find & replace window, we had something like the Firefox find bar that rises from the bottom of the window. It can never cover the text. I like this idea... if you look a pro applications... like Final Cut Pro or Aperture they are very good at making use of your f...
