Search doesn't work?
Hi, I'm running 3.4.3b2 under El Capitan and the search function doesn't appear to be working? It doesn't matter what I search for but I keep getting a 'Nothing found' error, even though the string is definitely present. You can see an example here: http://cloud.andersen-lab.com/image/3q1R3F2E3f3m/d...

'Show / don't show' markers?
Hi, Long time user here and I love Mellel. I have started using 'Markers' a lot and I really like the feature so I can find parts of a text that I need to change often, without having to worry about it being seen on a printout or pdf. However, I find myself wanting to 'turn off' marking quite often,...

ESC doesn't close search box
Hi,
I use the search dialog all the time and pressing the ESC key used to close. That no longer appears to be the case I 2.8.1. Could you please please put this small feature back? It would save me AT LEAST 10 seconds and multiple frustration every day

Recurring error
Hi, I keep getting the following error: "The document “xxx.mellel” could not be opened. Missing text model dictionary." If I try to open the document a couple of times, it appears to open correctly. I think this is primarily happening when I have more than one document open or trying to op...

BUG: Unable to select table within table
Hi, I am using 2.7.3 and have noticed that I am unable to select text that is placed in a table within a table. The layouts I use are quite complex, but it still shouldn't be a problem. I have linked to a file with the affected problem (e.g. try and click 'Invoice' or '10/18/10' - it is impossible t...

Re: Track Changes, what will you do?
I just posted a Word-specific poll on track changes - 'How important is Word integration':

Track Changes - A Word-specific Poll
I find it exciting that Mellel may contain track changes in future. As a researcher in the biological sciences I am unfortunately stuck with Word due to the requirement of tracking changes with 5+ collaborators all working on the same manuscript. For me, Word integration of track changes is therefor...

Re: Track Changes, what would you like to have?
Let me just add my 2c here. Whilst I hate the way track changes is handled in Word/Pages, the MOST important thing for me is that track changes in Mellel would be compatible with Word track changes..... Track changes is the ONLY reason why I still have Word on my computer - all the collaborators hav...

Awesome update! But a few things....
I have voiced my concerns about the future of Mellel in previous comments, but 2.7 clearly shows that the versions are still progressing!! Very very nice job guys! Whilst I really like the new 'float around images', there's a couple of things that I would like introduced and which is currently preve...

Re: Mellel 2.7 around the corner...
I agree with all that track changes is a sorely missed feature - however I have to ask you this. Is there ANY program out there that can really - as in really REALLY - do track changes??? Word, for sure, is one that cannot! It is so badly implemented and the program chokes on everything that it just...

Re: Anybody any idea where we're going?
See it's not so bad after all ;). I am totally aware that I was utterly unreasonable in my first post, but that was for a very good reason - I wanted to get a response from the whole community to Timotheus initial question. However, my concern stands that Mellel is no longer having the same priority...

Re: Anybody any idea where we're going?
Don't hold your breath. The Mellel development is dead as far as I see it. I would be super surprised if we are ever going to see a version 2.7.... :( Which is really too bad as Mellel is a kickass program, that could easily be one of the very best programs ever to be made for the Mac - juuuuuuust n...

Re: Default printer not remembered?
I've found that changing the name of the printer (not its address) in the Sys Prefs allows you to move your real default printer topmost in the Sys Prefs list, and as such Mellel will then always select that one as default. I added several network printers, and changed the names of all of them in o...

Re: Default printer not remembered?
Okay, been playing around with this for days now - and Mellel does seem to wonder its own ways when it comes to selecting default printer. Could the Redler guys, please add this in their BUG tracker?

Default printer not remembered?
I have noticed that 2.6/2.6.1 doesn't appear to remember my default printer? Under my printer I have set 'last used' as default, but Mellel always seems to use the same printer - irrespective of whether this printer was last used. All other programs appear to obey my printer settings, so I was wonde...
