Re: Mellel and the Snow Leopard

Yesterday when I installed Snow Leopard and then Mellel [both from completely clean installations] Mellel crashed because I had neglected to install one of the fonts in my default style set. I replaced the entire Application Support folder with my backup, and Mellel seems to function normally now wi...

Re: insert line / frame -- feature request

Recently Ori suggested that the next release of Mellel will include floating images as well as "text boxes." It is entirely possible that these new features will present a solution, as they seem related to what you describe.

Re: Read consecutive files into Mellel

If you have Scrivener you could import all of your files into Scrivener, arrange them, and then export one draft file in plain text which could then be imported into Mellel. Importing .txt files into Scrivener is easy — just drag them into the Scrivener organizing pane.

Re: Unwanted diamonds...

I would be very interested to hear what they say about this. I have recently encountered the same problem. I have five style sets, with no more than eight character or paragraph styles each.

Re: Problem with positioning images

The flashing line directly next to the image is actually the cursor. The cursor next to an image is the same size as the image when the line spacing is set to single-space. However, when the line spacing is set to something larger than single space, the cursor is larger than the image. The solution ...

Re: Superscripts and subscripts in Find & Replace

In addition to many commercially available typefaces from Adobe [www.adobe.com/type] Linotype [www.linotype.com], MyFonts.com and other websites [be careful, because many OpenType typefaces do not have superscript and subscript characters] the following typefaces that are standard on the Macintosh h...

Re: Superscripts and subscripts in Find & Replace

If I understand your situation correctly, in the font you are using, superscripts inserted via the Macintosh character palette do not line up correctly on the baseline. If this is the case, I believe the answer is to us an opentype typeface that includes opentype superscripts and subscripts. The sup...

I like it. I think it looks much better than the previous icon, with that large yellow Roman numeral “II”.

Re: "use surrounding" problem in cross-references styling

I noticed this as well. The formatting issue of the “auto title title” element of the cross references seems not to have been repaired in this final release. There are two ways around this until a bug fix is released. The first is to apply the desired style settings using the f-keys from within the ...

Re: Mellel 2.6 and Sente 5.7.2

The problem has already been fixed with Bookends. Download Bookends again from the Sonny Software website. Even though there is no announcement of a new version, it has been updated.

Re: Mellel 2.6 and Sente 5.7.2

This is most likely due to some changes that were made to the latest version of Mellel. The best course of action is to email the Redlers

Support@redlers.com

and the support staff of Sente.

Yes, Mac OS X does seem to support Windows TrueType. Try installing the typeface as you would any other.

Re: Line Height Issue w Hebrew Text

I wonder if there's a way the line height space can 'absorb' some of the space that the Hebrew letters take up, available as an option Can what you are describing be accomplished by changing the line spacing units from "lines" to "points" in the "Alignment and Spacing"...
