Re: handling of diacritics/accents
Thanks, I'm familiar with the keyboard viewer, but Apple's new solution is a lot more elegant, and it's a nuisance to have to switch between different modes of entering accented letters, depending on what application you're in.

handling of diacritics/accents
Hi, One of the few useful features of OS 10.8 is that Apple has ported the way iOS handles diacritics to the Mac. E.g., if I want to enter an accented character, I can simply press and hold the character key until a palette of options pops up. How come Mellel has not incorporated this feature? Would...

Re: Feature request: hyperlinks to external files
bump. Repeating my question from two years ago: Are there any plans for implementing such a feature? If not, why not?

Re: bibliography placement
Any news on this? Redlers? For many social science journals, endnotes before bibliography is the standard.

Re: insert line / frame -- feature request
Nope, still not possible. Is this feature difficult to implement? Can we get some input from the developers? This would seem to me a pretty useful and important feature. I can't be the only one around her who wants to use lines and frames as visual devices to structure titles, c.v.'s and the like...

Re: insert line / frame -- feature request
Recently Ori suggested that the next release of Mellel will include floating images as well as "text boxes." It is entirely possible that these new features will present a solution, as they seem related to what you describe. I downloaded the new version of Mellel, but I am not sure whethe...

insert line / frame -- feature request
hi there, i am having a rather frustrating experience redesigning my cv as well as some online publications with Mellel because i can't find an easy way to create simple lines above and below titles. (yes, i know there are workarounds, such as the ones posted here http://forum.redlers.com/viewtopic....

Classical Greek and Latin References
I am in the Humanities and use Mellel & Bookends, and I just ran into the following problem: According to the Chicago Style Manual, references to classical primary sources are different from references to modern books. For instance, a reference to Aristotle's Metaphysics in a Footnote would look...

Re: Newbie needs some help with styles
I see. I read through some of the older forum topics, and it looks like this has been discussed extensively. I guess that means I will learn the F-keys.
As for developing a couple of style sets, can anyone recommend a good place to start?

Re: Newbie needs some help with styles
Thanks, Petrus. That's a good solution. I hadn't even understood the difference between variations and ad-hoc style editing until you pointed it out. Can I assign (in System Preferences?) Command-B, Command-I, and Command-U to the style variations, instead of accessing them via the F-keys? I'm just ...

Newbie needs some help with styles
I am still getting used to Mellel and I have two questions regarding styles 1. Whenever I reassign a new paragraph style to a paragraph of text, all the character styles (italics, bold) are lost and revert to regular. Is there any way to prevent this from happening? I know that I can create duplicat...
