iPad Keyboard Shortcuts

Hello, as far as I can tell, some of the system wide iOS keyboard shortcuts (iPad 3rd Gen and iOS 12.1.1) are not available on Mellel, but are available on Pages, Notes, Scrivener, etc. Just a couple of examples: (1) Holding Command while in the App doesn’t bring up a list of keyboard shortcuts. (2)...

Re: View -> Show Tab Bar - Open document into a Tab?

Also, just a note on opening a new document from the tab bar . . . I wasn't getting the option to open a file as Moises suggests above because I had a setting that did not allow it work. So the setting should be: Preferences -> Open & Save -> With New Documents -> Open Template Browser (rather than ...

View -> Show Tab Bar - Open document into a Tab?

The View Menu has the "show tab bar" option, and I can easily create a new document in that tab (which is nice), but I cannot work out how to put an existing document into the tab bar. Initially I hoped that if I saved, shut down, and then re-started Mellel, the session would open back up with the s...

Please add a "comments" function

I see this in under other headings, but think it should have it's own. I am really happy with the track changes function and the ability to so easily move between Word and Mellel (since publishers are sort of Word-bound). But I have to admit that it's a bit disabled at this point, by virtue of its n...

Re: All Mellel files simultaneously reduced to Zero KB

Eyal, thanks for noting the backup directory. The files in there were just fine. I think it's worth noting that they are not on my iDisk and so I observe that all iDisk-based Mellel files were destroyed, but the ones in normal hard drive folders were fine. I might suggest for any others out there wh...

All Mellel files simultaneously reduced to Zero KB

Today I noticed that my iDisk was syncing ALL of my Mellel files. When I later went to open one I found it was empty (i.e., zero KB) and the file would not open. Recalling that I had seen iDisk syncing all of the Mellel files, I started checking other files and found that on each of my machines ever...

Re: syncing to iDisk

Well, I spent all day playing around with various options and arrived at the automator solution, came to log on and crow about my success only to find Verma had already mentioned it. It's a BIT better. Still, a pain in the arse. Bluesdance : (A) the issue is that the file/package will go on to the l...

Re: syncing to iDisk

I just discovered today that the updates to files on one computer were not being reflected in the files on other computers connected to my iDisk. It also explains why I kept thinking I was losing work. So I've been tampering with more than one file and now I have to go back and reconcile the changes...

Re: Should I use Mellel?

I'm very much in the same boat. Ever since losing WordPerfect in my move to Mac, I've been wholly unsatisfied with the word processing options (quite taken back by that, too). I have the new Word 08, and I have to be honest when I say that it is a much better app that Word 04 and very mac-like. It c...
