Hello
If you use Antidote with Mellel in your writing, how do you use those two together? Are there more ways/methods than via Services?

Facing a new decade
I think all who value Mellel for one or the other reason would appreciate a "road map" by Eyal when we now are facing a new decade. The requests have been many and are still many, and probably sometimes we users are too impatient. But it would be nice to hear now what we can expect ahead, ...

Re: Mellel + ePub - your thoughts and requests
Thank you for your response, Eyal I did try to answer your question about the need for ePub, and that it is not my need. I could have been more clear, but I motivated my answer by giving an example of what I really need in future upgrades of Mellel. Based on the fact that others have come with the s...

Re: Mellel + ePub - your thoughts and requests
I also second the comments by Icelander, and add a wish for the function to split a document into two views for editing. This has been a request before several times but as far as I know no response from the Redlers.

Re: Just for fun, what is your longest Mellel document...
At the moment my dissertation has 207268 words and 1345 citations + many cross-references (the end product will be shorter) in one file. Mellel handles it just fine, it only takes a few more seconds to save the document compared to a normal size document.

Yes, ProWritingAid for Mellel would be great for me writing in English and not having it as my the first language.

Re: Writing a PhD in Mellel
Have not some of the requests in this thread been met with the release of Mellel 4? For example index function?

Re: Swedish Localisation v. 4
I think it is up to us Swedish users to fix a localisation in our language. I don't think we can expect the Mellel crew to hire someone to do it. It would be someone who volunteers for the task.

Re: Mellel 4 slow
Yes Manu, I don't think it has to do with Mac OS or hardware limitation. I don't have the same problem lagging on my high-resolution monitor when I connect it to my MacbookPro retina from mid-2012 and writing in MS Words v 15.40. I really like Mellel 4 in many ways, it is my prefered word processor,...

Re: Mellel 4 slow
My Mellel 4 is definitely quicker on monitors with lower resolutions. I use three different monitors, depending on where I am working, and Mellel is lagging on the one with the highest resolution to the point that is difficult to write on it. However, the speed is acceptable on my old monitor though...

Re: Mellel 4 slow
Another thing, if I change from Mellel view to Compact view, Mellel 4 is a bit quicker in responding when writing. Also, I have turned off the automatic saving, as recommended above, and it helps also.

Re: Mellel 4 slow
Correct, the reason that Mellel 4 has become more sluggish when writing is not because of fonts. I have now tried it further. My next step will be to divided up the document I am working with (about 280-290 pages) in separated files (according to chapters), which I have never done since I left Word ...
