Re: Why is iCloud support MAS only?

At the moment, iCloud is not available to non app store applications in general, this is not a specific Mellel restrictions. It is possible that this will be worked around in the future but don't expect Apple to allow this officially as they're trying to make the Mac App Store more appealing then t...

Re: Spell Catcher X 10.3

To answer my question: Sadly, it seems Mellel 2.7 does not improve SP X support; at least I cannot get DirectCorrect work...

Re: Spell Catcher X 10.3

Does anyone who is able to disclose something about Mellel 2.7 know if the update will improve support for Spell Catcher X?

Thanks!

What you are searching for has been discussed in this thread in the Sente forum.

Re: footnote help sought

In addition to Ozean I would like to suggest to try the Superscript option (right hand side from the CSS option). Maybe that fits your needs.

Re: footnote help sought

I guess the reason is that the default Character Style Set (CSS) for (Foot-) Notes is "Note text" and that the CSS you can see in Ozean's screenshot is one created by him. It is up to you to use the default CSS or to create you own CSS, especially for your needs...

Hope that helps,

Re: Request: Prevent extra spaces

Just for the record: Spell Catcher offers a "Multiple Spaces to Space" function as well. That means you could modify text you would like to paste into a document and removing double spaces. Another handy tool for such a task: PTHPasteboard

BTW: Both apps have many more functions...

Re: Request: Prevent extra spaces

Actually I haven't checked what possibilities Mellel offers but that is for the simple reason that I use Spell Catcher which offers a "Prevent double spaces" function (SHIFT-SPACE overwrites this setting) as you have described for Framemaker. Maybe it is worth to take a look because Spell ...

Re: Problem with cross-reference in 2.6

From your auto-title numeration I would guess that the "3" marks the level of the auto-title. However, the setting of the cross-reference is "prev#1" (previous#1). That would be, if my understanding is correct, result in the auto-title number from level "2". Could at be...

Re: Different Language in one document

If you don't have trouble with a third-party solution I recommend to check Spell Catcher X out. Spell Catcher X has more functions as just spell checking (for example, customizable AutoCorrect, AutoText, AutoReplace, and shorthand abbreviations) and I like the idea to have one spell checker for all ...

Re: How to change a temp citation name?

For the reason that I use a reference manager I have never tried out to edit manually entered citation all at once. However, as far as i know Mellel treats citations as normal text (because the rest is the job from the reference manager). If this is true, it would be possible to format any citation ...

Re: How to change a temp citation name?

I assume that you are talking about the case that the citation is insert through a reference manager like Sente or Bookends. In this case my understanding is that the citation identifier which works as word processor marker are created by the reference manager and not by Mellel. For that reason, a c...

Ooo I can't wait anymore for this one (3) two-pages-view finishing a long text (in pages for the time being), really would love to use mellel outlining and everything, but without the two-pages view how can one work? It's like reading the book you are working on... any land in sight with this? nalu...

Re: Find/replace styles, fonts?

Probably the easiest way is to use the "Replace style..." function in the file menu, at least if you like to replace all styles of one type with one style of another type. Otherwise you could try a simple search in the find/replace function by searching for "any character" applie...
