The latest release of Mellel now includes the number of words in notes. I suspect the increase represents the word count of the footnotes.

It is useful to see the word count for notes. Perhaps, however, this should not be included in the total (under general).

Escape does work, but I still suspect this is a bug. Clicking on other note numbers works fine, but there is something about the presence of a citation so close to the note number that seems to prevent this.

Usually, when in notes (foot- or end-), by clicking on the note number one returns to the main body of the text. If, however, the first thing in the note is a citation (using the bibliography feature), as far as I can tell, no amount of clicking on the note number will take you back to the text. Is ...
