Indeed, but as I said, pasting as plain text strips any character style variations, so then I have to go back and redo any italics in the pasted text.

It's possible to format a regular paragraph as an autotitle by double clicking on the autotitle level in the palette (or via the Title dialogue box). I haven't found an easy way to reverse the process—to turn an autotitle back into regular text. Am I missing something?

I saw some discussion of this back in 2008 but nothing since. I think it would be a simple but very useful feature to be able to toggle view/hide the footnotes at the bottom of the page. They are visually distracting.
