Re: What's next for Mellel 3.4?

I'd actually down-vote an "undo" that took style definition changes into consideration. I consider the "undo" to be part of the act of word processing, not as a sort of global buffer for all activities in an application.

Re: New Service, forgot my code

It sent me two codes as well. Can the message that is sent be modified to include the Mellel version the code is for?

The ability to anchor captions and figures is a big one in my books.

Re: "Combo-Saving"

If you save to your dropbox it will automatically upload to their cloud, where your documents are versioned. If you're on OSX 10.7 or later, Mellel will take advantage of the versioning features in the OS and save a snapshot for every change you make automatically. It will also auto-save a backup co...

Re: Mellel Lite?

What have you tried? How did you try to contact them? They're usually very good at responding. Have you looked at your console to see if there are any errors?

Mellel Lite?

So why would I buy Mellel if it looks like Mellel Lite has all of the same features? The press release is long on "Buy this, it's just like Mellel!" but short on what the actual differences are.

What's the difference? A comparison chart of some sort would be very handy.

Hi Ilja,

I don't think you'll run into any problems. Let us know how it turns out!

Re: Text orientation in tables

Do you mean you would like to rotate your text 90° to run vertically in a table cell? You cannot do this in Mellel. The best thing would be to compose it in another application and then take a screen capture of just that section (Shift-Ctrl-Cmd-4) and then paste it in a cell. Not optimal, but certai...

Re: Footnotes will be the end of me

You can control the superscript of your footnotes by going to the Insert->Note->Edit Note Attributes... dialog. Look at the "Reference symbol" section. The "superscript" checkbox will make sure that it's a superscripted number (or whatever symbol you choose to make the reference). As for the origina...

Re: Problems with Printing

What version of OS X are you running? There may be a problem with the printer drivers you are using. Check this forum thread for details: http://www.copytechnet.com/forums/connectivity/58147-mac-10-7-printing-konica-user-authentication-enabled.html I also saw someone mention that you may need specia...

Re: Support for PPC

This was discussed somewhat in this thread: http://forum.redlers.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=2602&start=0 At issue is that Apple forces its developers into a bit of a corner. The Apple Developer tools remove support for older releases of the operating system in the build tools. What this means is that y...

List first and last items

I want to create a list that has 8pt spacing above the first list item, and 8pt spacing below the last item, but all elements inside the list have 0 above/below spacing. Right now I have to create three paragraph styles for the first, last, and middle elements. Anyone know a way around this? Seems l...

Re: Space between running header and text

I was able to replicate this with Times, but only after futzing around with some settings. Could you confirm that, in your footnote settings (Insert->Note->Edit Note Attributes) what you have listed for "Character Style" under the "Reference Symbol" section? And that you have "Superscript" checked? ...

Re: Space between running header and text

I'm sorry -- I thought that's what you meant by "adding rows" after the header.

Does changing the font make a difference?
