Do you mean that it's not possible for you to select both text and pictures (from the same selection) from within Safari, copy it and then paste it into Mellel?
Yes, that's exactly what I mean.

Images from Safari can't be pasted into Mellel

I can't paste text with pictures from Safari into Mellel. Other word processors, including TextEdit, can do this. When working in Mellel, l have to drag the pictures out of Safari or save them to the Desktop, then import them into Mellel. This is time consuming if there are many pictures. Has this a...

Re: auto text

Hi,
Mellel does not have glossaries.

If you need that feature, you would have to use a third party text expansion software, such as Typinator, but it's not as good as the glossaries in Nisus.

Re: New user question

I don't understand the first question. 2. is it possible to use papers for citations? Papers is now just a reference manager for Microsoft Word. Entering citations and creating a bibliography in Word is easy with Papers, but almost impossible in Mellel and Nisus, because the "Format Manuscript" comm...

Re: A clarification regarding Mellel 4.0.3 and "Diamond styles"

With Mellel 4.0.3 we made a change to the way document styles are detected and made it more sensitive: instead of showing you only the document styles in the text you were editing, Mellel now shows you document styles in the entire document, including all the headers and footers and even things lik...

Re: A clarification regarding Mellel 4.0.3 and "Diamond styles"

I was on v4.02 and had finally managed to clean up all my custom templates. No more document styles in them with black diamonds. Now, after I upgraded to v4.03, they seem to be all back again and their number seems to have tripled, to say the least. I used to be able to use Replace Styles in the Fil...

Feature which remembers the location of the insertion point

Is there a way to quickly track backward and forward to other locations in the document where I may have been working? I may, for example, want to jump to the last location of the insertion point, and then quickly back again when I have finished checking the text. You may have seen such commands on ...

Any thoughts?
1. Have you checked the character style that's associated with the BodyText style? Is it set to Base?
2. Does the BodyText have 'next paragraph style' set to "Same style"?

Re: MLA format, heading 2 and TOC

you can do it manually. Just create the auto-title with the proper formatting and then add the remaining paragraph on the same line. I think you mean "and then format the remaining paragraph manually on the same line." If I understand you correctly, I came to the same conclusion. I managed to do it...

For my understanding, auto-titles are the way to produce the Table of Content. The paragraph needs to follow on the following line.
You mean, Mellel can't do this then?

MLA format, heading 2 and TOC

I have a document in MLA format. Heading 2 is in-line and in italic . How can I make this heading appear in the TOC, that is, assign a level to this heading so that it appears in the TOC? Please see a screenshot here: http://www.mediafire.com/file/gh18tb90cyb6oib/MLA_format._Heading_2.png To me it ...

Re: export outline / auto-titles to Microsoft Word document

Tested in MS Word v. 15.41 (Word 2016). Mellel document exported as RTF. All Auto-titles correctly imported into Word, also colored Auto-titles. The auto-titles from Mellel carry the attribute "Normal", therefore the original levels in Mellel don't appear indented in Word's Navigator. All my auto-ti...
