That’s already granted by the current XML file format. Actually, I think Phil82 has a good point. Mellel's XML would be embedded in the PDF (and ...

i can't vote yes or no on this - i do think space is an issue, but some people may use the structure header... I think that the headers have a use in the default/"separate" view of the outline. In the combined view, Structure is the only header. I have a 12-inch screen as well, every pixel counts (...

Saving Horizontal Space in the Outline Pane

Vote YES if you want save space in the combined view of the outline pane; I propose removing the structure header and move autotitle headers 10+pixels to the left. Longer explanation: I hope we see improvements in the outline pane along the lines of some recent proposals in this forum. I would like ...

I’m not against a Preview like search, but I think it consumes too much space for a quick find option and space was one of the main topic of this request. Furthermore I think that one tends to use both applications (Mellel & Preview) quite differently. With Mellel you usually write your own stuff a...

I would love a preview-like quick find function.

This is off topic, but I like Papyrus concept of an "editable" PDF. It's a PDF that opens normally in any computer, but contains a binary blurb with the Papyrus file, which means that the file can be easily shared. Has anybody tried this out? I'd love if Mellel had some kind of similar functionality...

I agree, this would be really useful, I had proposed something along these lines some time ago.

Latex in Mellel

This poll follows up the previous discussion on simple Latex export functionality in Mellel. By simple export support I mean a translation of autotitles, tables, notes, future crossrefs, and images but not page, column, indents, fonts, margins, colors, etc. Those who have an interest can post their ...

I support this request, enthusiastically. I prefer a simplistic approach than a very faithful translation, as the original author implied.

I beg to differ

Indexing is nice in theory, but in practice it wouldn't make any difference to me or other people who turn in manuscripts to a publisher. The publisher gives you back a hard-copy prints to proofread and create the index from. I strongly prefer Mellel to concentrate on: - facilitating exchange with o...

Not working for me either

My previous installation did nothing. After reading this thread I deleted the old plugin from the /Library/Spotlight directory, tried to install the new plugin but it says "There's nothing to install"...

Any help?

preferences reset?

I got my preferences reset to the default behavior with the new 2.1.1 release (toolbar+ruler+empty window upon launch). I noticed the same with the 2.1 release. Does it have to do with my installation or with the way Mellel is released?

Nice release anyway.
