Re: Mellel 3.3 Beta

Just tried to send again. Same error message.

Also, Nicka noted that he received the email automated response by sending to the email address, not through the Mellel form. So, also for me, I sent by email yesterday and received an automated response.

Re: Mellel 3.3 Beta

The reporting form does not work. I filled it out. But when I clicked Send, nothing happened.

I also sent an email with this screen shot and the problem.

Interesting. Thanks.

I have not noticed this problem with other programs during the upgrade to Mavericks.

3.2.7 and Recent

When I upgraded to Mellel this last week, I noticed that it cleared the Open Recent items. Is that planned? It seems counter-intuitive.

Re: Writing a PhD in Mellel

3. I preferred to have my Chapters start on odd page numbers (I was printing in duplex), so that they start on the right-hand page. Could not find a way to automate that in the auto titles of paragraph settings. Was I missing something? Thanks again for your comments. I think for #3, this can be do...

Re: Writing a PhD in Mellel

I, too, appreciate the comments and insights. I had been an advanced Word user from 1990-2005. The style sheets were acceptable and understandable. But when I began writing the book with photos, etc., Word began to choke. So I switched full time to Mellel in 2004. Not one crash, instant updates on a...

Re: What is the best font.

I have been using Libertine fonts find them to be excellent. It may be better suited to classical languages, but it is fine printing and viewing font family (both Linux Libertine O and Linux Biolinum O )

Re: Mellel won't work at all after latest update

Howdy. The manual says OX 10.5 is base requirements. Are you on a PPC computer or Intel? If the former, then I don’t think it will work. I make it a habit before installing new software to do some minimum maintenance work. Also, have you tried downloading again? That may help. Just some rambling tho...

I tend to agree with Janet. I haven’t used TNR in many years.

I recently have been using Libertine. It is free and has been great for publishing. I have converted all our seminary students to use the fonts.

Libertine fonts

Just a thought

Re: Background image page bleed

Jannuss, bleed would go edge of the paper to edge of the paper. But using fit-to-page will result in matching the margins not the paper edge. Unless I have missed something as well.
