Re: Find and Replace Font
The doc was created with one Style Set; to submit for publication, I had to change font, font size, paragraph spacing, etc. So, I created a Style Set that would incorporate those attributes, along with a Secondary font of SPIonic for the Greek. When I applied the Style Set, the Greek words seem all ...

Find and Replace Font
I have a Greek font in my manuscript that I need to change to SPIonic (even though the font reads as Greek, when highlighted, the Greek word shows Times New Roman as the main font). I am wondering how I might do that globally for the ms. When I highlight the Greek word, the main font show Times New ...

Bookends hangs on re-scan
I cannot get Bookends to re-scan in Mellel without hanging. I have rebuilt the database, and also sent it to Jon, who cannot replicate it. BE scans OK, but if I then unscan and rescan, no matter what document I'm writing, it hangs and I have to Force Quit, restart, to rescan. Anyone have any ideas. ...

Re: Scan problem with Bookends
I also have a problem with scan in BE, and have rebuilt the database, and sent it all to Jon, who cannot replicate it. I cannot "re-scan" in Mellel without BE hanging. If I scan, unscan, then re-scan, the initial scan works fine, but when I re-scan, I have to Force Quit BE, and reboot. Any...

Re: Bookends Footnote Font Changes
Actually, if you'll click on "Plain" under the "Replace:" window, you'll see that you can alter the styles; they are no longer greyed out. You can do this with every style set.
If you only have the Default Set, then you haven't created any others.

footnote font with Bookends
I continue to have periodic problems keeping my footnotes consistent with the font of my text. I have tried to adjust all of the paragraph/character styles that I know of. Could someone walk me through a way to make sure that Bookends does not change the font from that which I am using in my text to...

Re: Best Base Font when using English, Greek, Hebrew
I've been using Helvetica for a while now. Most of my Hebrew and Greek are copied/pasted, and none is italicized, but it has worked great as a general "all purpose" font.

keystroke to get back to Base?
I'm glad for the new Cmd + B = F2, etc. changes in 2.6. Does anyone know if there is a similar keystroke that will return from bold or italic to the base font?

Find/replace styles, fonts?
I have a document in which I would like to replace a certain paragraph style. Is that possible? How would I insert a paragraph style in the find/replace boxes? Also, can I find/replace a font - say, find "Times" and replace with "Helvetica"?

copy and paste document
I have a document, with Bookends unscanned footnotes, that I select all for copy. When I paste it into a new file, all the footnotes turn into text endnotes with *number* at the beginning. The footnote citations, unscanned, come over as endnote text. Anyone know how to avoid this?

Re: scan citations help
Thanks. I think I've fixed it, but not entirely sure how. I tinkered with the Biblio. settings in prefs., so that now they have Paragraph style set as "note text" and the Replace: With: set at "Don't replace." Maybe that did it.

Re: scan citations help
I know, that would be the logical solution, but I've checked them all and they're ALL in Helvetica. I'm going back over to Bookends to ask them again.Reiner wrote:If your footnotes are in Times it seams as if the character style attached to your footnotes paragraph style contains Times.

scan citations help
I'm using Bookends to scan citations and can't get the scanned citations to format in the font I want. I've asked Bookends tech. about this and they say it's a Mellel problem. I want the citations to be in the same font (Helvetica) as the document. I've edited my Style Set - in every single category...
