There is a very good description regarding this at page 111-112 in the Mellel Guide. There you will also see figured examples. Using “fake” small caps There are some cases where you’ll have to use small caps with OpenType fonts that do not support this option or with a non OpenType font. Although th...

It would (also) be nice to already at the writing phase be able to select the text and choose the language that would go for this part of the text. When you later want to make a spell checker, the application (in this case Mellel) would automatically choose the appropriate dictionary. If I'm not mis...

I'm not sure I really follow you. When I select a part of the text in Mellel and use cmd-I, the text will be italic and the same goes for cmd-B and bold . Have I missed something here? I regulary do not use cmd-I and cmd-B, since I usually use the predefined f-keys on my PowerBook. Edit: Now I can s...

For those of us that primarly work in text, Mellel is a superb program, and the best out there. I certainly agree on this one. Mellel is by far the best word processor I have used. Even if it's not the most easiest to learn to use, when you have learned to use it and all its features, it's nearly u...

But seriously, no text wrap around of images? MacWrite 1.0 could practically do this! As far as I remember, MacWrite did not manage to do that. But I admit it was a very long time ago, so I can be wrong about that. :? Mellel will get this function in the time to come. Hopefully it will not take to ...

Right, and the Apple dictionary invariably contains both the U.S. and the English spelling... what bothers me is that Mellel, also invariably, highlights the U.S. variations as spelling mistakes. If you dig through the edit menu (Edit > Spelling > Spelling), the little window that comes up offers B...

I’d like to be able to do it without leaving the keyboard, which means no palettes and no menus (or palettes and menus BUT with a good keyboard shortcut right out of the box). Let's be generous. Why not let the users choose between several options (keyboard, menus and palettes) and use whatever is ...
