Still having problems with the file names while exporting from Mellel iPad version to pdf. Want the exported file to have the same name as the original file, except for the new file suffix .pdf.

I exported a document of 85 pages to pdf and also exported the same document through the built-in print-to-pdf feature, and both pdf files had the TOC intact. I'm using the latest version of Mellel and macOS 10.12.6 (Swedish).

Same here, saves the document on the first attempt. Having macOS Sierra 10.12.6 (Swedish).

I have been using the Mellel on my iPad for a week now and it's great to be able to sync the work between my Mac and my iPad. But when I sometimes have to export a document from the iPad to a pdf (to be able to hand out the documents to my students digitally), the document always get a strange file ...

I would also want the pdf files exported from within Mellel for iPad to automatically have the same name as the original document, and not as it is now having a strange name that does not indicate at all which document I have just exported as a pdf file.

Need export option to rtf and docx. It would be great to be able to export to Google Docs and Pages as well, but their formats is a more difficult task to accomplish I believe.

Please note that the side bar is resizable but the minimum size with Mellel 4.0 is wider than it used to be. We will try to allow making it narrower with the upcoming release. I agree on this one. The sidebar should be resizable or you should be able to choose if you want all three structure-index-story or not in the sidebar.

bpkantor, this was the case in the past but with Mellel 4.0, table of contents page numbers are clickable links in the exported PDF document. Note two things regarding this: 1. You need to regenerate the TOC on Mellel 4.0, if you have a document that contains a TOC that was generated on Mellel 3.5 ...

4. The Mellel 4 icon is the ugliest icon I've ever seen. What is it? Suggest a return to the old icon, or a slightly modernized old icon. That’s a good and an unexpected solution.

You can do it with the help of the table function/feature. It’s a workaround, but it’s workable.

Example
