Re: Wishlist 2008

Cripes! I'd like to know this sooner, rather than later, as I am well into a large book project.

Re: Wishlist 2008

I hesitate to ask, but is there any ETA for next Mellel update and what it might include?

Re: Wishlist 2008

Oh dear, you're right; sorry about that. I had assumed (without trying) that 'none' meant, well, 'none'. All sorted now. Another Mellel dream come true.

Re: Wishlist 2008

I tried to post a reply, but must have hit the wrong button or something; my post is gone (and I can't be bothered to retype the entire thing at this moment). Nevertheless, there is no option for footnote numbers to be: # + tab; they all have brackets or a full stop or something else....

Re: Wishlist 2008

Aside from the usual items for the wishlist (cross refs and indexing) I would like to be able to have footnote numbers, with no full stop, followed by a tab. One of my publishers has this as a house style (superscript fn number, tab, note text).

As ever,

Re: writing academic work with Bookends: the basics on citing

Walter, Just to add my two bits, I made the switch from Word-Endnote last year; and this was after a year of experimenting with Mellel and Bookends and writing a few articles in parallel. The learning curve is a little steep, but once you've sussed it (and it won't take long, especially with this he...

Re: Sente?

Thanks for that Danzac, I'll keep my eye on Sente. As I said, for the moment I am happy with Bookends.

Thanks again,

Sente?

Just to pick the brains of fellow Mellel users. I completely converted to the Melle/Bookends combo about a ten months ago and have been very happy (esp. with Mellel). I'm just curious if anyone here with experience of both has a preference of either Sente or Bookends. I downloaded the recent demo of...

Re: Auto-title within table

The images could also go into a table, but it's the text flow problem that gets me. I think it's the same for columns.

Re: Auto-title within table

Thanks for the reply. It's a pity it won't work, because I really want to have two 'figures' next to one another with the corresponding images below each figure. Because of text-flow issues I can't see how else to do this.

Auto-title within table

Dear Wisdom,

Why can't I place (or create) an auto-title within a table?

Thanks,

Re: Hiding one element of a header on the first page

Thanks for that. Another (potentially time consuming) solution is to print a PDF of the file, then in the PDF either delete or change the font colour to white for all those first headers I don't want. So long as the book only has 12 chapters or so, that's not a nightmare.

Cheers,

Hiding one element of a header on the first page

I have running headers (odd/even) in my book; each header contains a mention and a page number. Is it possible to only hide the mention of the first page of each new section?

As ever,

Cheers Petrus! Looks great. I do love Mellel and as you say, this things get easier with time.

Re: Lef/Right justification in headers

Brilliant, on the face of it, it might work. But how do I hide the table lines?

Thanks,
