slow working and always turning ball
Hello, I work with Mellel 3.5.1. and 10.8.5 with 8 GB RAM. I have a document with 100 pages and 70 figures (png, 150 dpi). I encounter the problem after writing one, two or some sentences the Mac ball appears, keeps turning for ca. 10 seconds and I have to wait. That happens more or less regularly: ...

Mellel 3.5 crashes
Hello, I work with Mellel 3.5 and MacOSX 10.8.5. and it is not possible to work with it because it always crashes when I want/try to work within a document of almost 100 pages with about 60 figures (png, 150 dpi). I cannot edit images in Mellel (reducing the size), I cannot mark the whole table at o...

Re: Saving different templates
Dear Eayal, sorry for my very late response because I stopped to figure out the problem. I answer you because I started again to create a new template. I have different templates in my folder which I also see in the browser. So I started to make a new template with different styles for different par...

Re: Cross reference of chapters in text
I'm glad to explain it. If you edit the chapters within auto-titles you have to set 'Curr#.Title' or 'Prev#1.Curr#.Title' etc. I thought that, once it is edit, I have only to choose the actual element# in the cross reference because chapter 3.2. is/was for me the actual element#. But you have to do ...

Cross reference of chapters in text
Hello I formatted different chapters, figures etc. via auto-titles and cross reference for tables and figures work fine. Also the TOC for all auto-titles is correct. I have a problem with cross referencing the chapters. If I only use the actual number as element, I get the following: ch. 2 on pp. 10...

Saving different templates
Hello, I created different templates with distinct fonts. I saved each template in the "my templates" folder under different names. If I open them then it seems that only the last template made works, irrespective of the template I choose. In other words, I have one template, although I cr...

Re: frame around images
At least I know that I don't have to look for any default solution. It would be sufficient if the default colour would be set to black by Redlers.

frame around images
When I want to draw a frame around an image I click on it and assign the thickness and colour of the frame. But whenever I do this I have the white colour as first choice and have then to choose the black colour. Is there a way to set the black colour and/or thickness as default? I didn't find one a...

Re: automatic numbering within table
Well, it seems that it is simply not possible. I don't publish a book so that I can get over this at least at the moment.

automatic numbering within table
