MLA textual citation request

Mellel does not appear to correctly format MLA textual citations properly when scanning and document and generating a bibliography. My understanding of MLA is thus: 1. the first time a work is cited, both the author and the page number are enclosed in quotes with a space between them and no other pu...

What you seem to want is just the page number for immediately subsequent citations, right? Is this what MLA requires, or is it how you like to do it? as far as I understood, MLA wants date and pg# for subsequent citations. If you quoted the same work 10 pages down you would obviously need the date ...

you have to enter a % sign at the beginning of the object to tell Mellel/Bookends to leave out the authors name
I saw that in the guide as well, but while the % leaves out the author's name, it forces display of the date. Is there any way to suppress both?

Trouble with citations

I am finding Mellel's handling of citations problematic. I am used to having to enter all citations and bibliographic entries myself, and I would very much like for Mellel's integration with Bookends to work for me, but I neither User Guide is helping very much. These questions will be framed within...

I don't think it is useful to ask where the obsessive saving mentality comes from. This is a Discussion forum, and the subject is "Undo or not to Undo..." Well-taken. I didn't mean for that to be quite so strongly worded. I fully expected Mellel to suck just like all the competition. But ...

What is the origin of the "hit apple-s" every ten seconds mentality? I lived in an apartment for a year where the power went out unexpectedly at least once a month. I had a desktop computer. Lost many a research paper that way. I more recently (while writing final papers last semester) li...

The clearing of the undo buffer on save has been a serious hurdle to switching over to Mellel from any of the many (worse) alternatives. It is entirely contrary to user expectation, and quite unintuitive. It is what keeps me going back to NeoOffice.

This would be a fantastic addition to Mellel. I am really missing this feature in my transition away from MS Word/OpenOffice.org to Mellel.
