Re: Large blank areas on page
If the problem is indeed being caused by footnotes "thinking" they need to stay together, try Insert > Note > Edit note attributes… and make sure "May split" is set to "Anywhere" (or "Between paragraphs," if you wish).

Re: 3.0 Wish List
1. More robust language-switching. Even assigning language as an attribute of paragraph styles is probably too limiting for many of us, who may switch between various languages in the space of a single paragraph. 2. Support for Lion full-screen mode (retaining current 2-up and 4-up options, which ca...

DELIGHTFUL.redlers wrote: Well, the good news is that we intend to do just that with Mellel 2.9... Now, what was the bad news?
BTW, it is implemented as a page attribute.

I can confirm that apps "puchased" with Mac App Store promotional codes can indeed be reviewed.Eyal Redler wrote:I'm not sure if free coupons enable one to write reviews so it could be that it wouldn't help anyway[…]

I can't reproduce this on Safari 5.03 or Chrome 10.0.648.6. Try clearing Safari's cache and reloading the page.

Will do, Eyal!Eyal Redler wrote:Regarding reported bugs that are not getting fixed, it could well be that these have fallen through the cracks. If your on the beta list, don't hesitate to mention them again on the next beta cycle.

Re: Free updates for life?
This might be the strangest thread I've ever seen on a message board. Here's a suggestion for everyone who is worried that no more upgrade fees will result in stalled development: Every couple of years, when it would normally be time for you to pay an upgrade fee, purchase a Mellel license for a fri...

Re: The state of the Mellel (a road map of sorts)
My wish would be that all the large projects are put to one side for a month or two in favour of a bit of consolidation, making small additions and adjustments to what is already there so that it is more useful and usable. I think this is a great suggestion! If I might add my 2¢: Correct the bug th...

Re: Multiple fonts within an Auto Title
Just out of curiosity, what is the reasoning behind only allowing one font in an auto-title? Seems like it totally rules out using auto-titles for any writing that mixes scripts, and I can't think of any benefits to the user.

Re: Feature request: Page style break after this page
The problem with this, though, is what happens if additional text is then added above where the "flowing page style break" is. Because breaks are inserted inline as if they are another character, their position must be adjusted any time the body of text changes. While this solution will w...

Re: Feature request: Page style break after this page
I think that the problem is ultimately just that a page style break inserts an implicit page and paragraph break at the point of insertion. This is exactly right. Maybe Mellel could have a checkbox in the Page Style dialog to set a Page Style as "Flowing," where text is allowed to flow in...

Re: Feature request: Page style break after this page
I'm not sure I got this - but this seems to me to be a case of needing a "different first page" or the ability to design the first page and have it designed differently than the rest of the pages in the document. Yes, I think that's another way of accomplishing the same thing. As long as ...
