Re: Reference dialogue--open automatically?

I don't think it is possible. You would need some kind of macro. Would be a nice feature but, for now, clicking appears to be your best option :)

Re: The state of the Mellel (a road map of sorts)

Hope it's just a small feature and it's the reason it was not listed : line numbering. I just ask for this! :D For scientific publications, it's essential. I need to switch to Word for that.

Re: In case of emergency…

Thanks, Eyal, for your answer. It's good to hear that you are alive and well, and that work on Mellel is going on. But: why this long silence? Why this complete absence of newsletters? Why this absence from the forum? Why again this slowing down of the development process? There is a whole communit...

Re: In case of emergency…

I might not be the greatest expert with Mellel but, for my experience, there is no way to preserve the list levels. I'm not sure either if we may expect that it could be compatible with another software one day as Redlers do things their way (it gives us a great tool but there are some caveats, as t...

Re: Any updates coming up?

Surprising that you haven't had any answers! I would appreciate to have a "roadmap" too :). Mellel is really great for my use but for one missing feature (line numbering). It seems to me that the Redlers take the time to make big steps forward. However, sometimes, small steps are useful to...

Re: Problem with bookends and journal articles

For my part, I generate only a bibliography at the end of the document. I don't remember to have had big trouble, if any! ; )

Re: Comparing 2 Mellel files

For what I read of Araxis (nice software by the way!), you may compare two pdf files. It is an option.

Worked fine for me (MacBook, Tiger). It seems there was an hurry to release 2.7.3 since the release of Bookends 11 : )

I'm hoping too for this feature in the 2.8 version : ) It's essential for scientific manuscripts.

Very good and very well integrated with Mellel. I use it for many years now. You can also buy both as a combo too.

Re: Track Changes, what will you do?

About track change, I cannot say that it would be uninteresting. However, the "collaborative" feature I'm missing is line numbering. It's essential for scientific publications. Also, it can be very useful for collaborative work. In fact, about collaborative work, I think that more and more...
