...how are you sending your notes, exactly? All of the "send to" options I can see in Sente send a formatted reference. But I can sort of see the problem. It seems to be difficult to send a "plain text" reference to Mellel. No matter what options I choose in the Sente menu Format...

Did you find a solution to this?

Glyph-scaling and letterspacing would open Mellel up to the possibility of a MUCH nicer justification engine than it currently has, probably second only to InDesign and LaTEX.

Don, did you check some printed output? The original post states that the problem was observed after printing.

Has this worked for you before? I'm using Mellel 2.9 and Sente, and this option doesn't work for me either.

Have you asked in the Sente forums or Sente support?

You should write to bookends support (on their website). They are very helpful and quick to respond.

This is almost definitely a bookends issue and not a Mellel issue.

Hi,

You need to create a new page style, that does not contain the mentions in the header. You can insert a page style break before and after the TOC, and use the new page style for that portion of the document.

I tried this, and could drag the markers at the beginning of a paragraph. However, I noticed that you can't drag the margin or indent markers past the first tab stop set in the paragraph. Does that help, maybe?

Sorry, of course I meant the paragraph style palette is active, so you can set the paragraph style of your choice for the header and footer text.

The page style palette is active and usable, when you click in the header or footer section of the page style dialog to enter header or footer text.

I would add the old evergreen suggestion of tying captions and figures together, and having "figure styles" that group both and define their layout on the page.
