Re: Copy and paste between different paragraph styles
On a related note, I would also like to copy and paste text and retain the character style. But I'd also like to simply change certain aspects of the style. For example, if a text has color or bold and I wish to retain that, but change the font and size, can I apply a partial style? Or create a styl...

Re: iPad and Mac sync
Then if you create a new mellel doc on iPad will it sync over to iCloud on Mac?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Auto-title Find and Replace?
I would still like to see a find and replace incorporate auto-titles.
A work around....off topic from Mellel features directly...how would one create an OPML file from something like Markdown? App suggestions? Or Find and Replace in Mellel? All welcome!
Thanks!

Re: Misalignment of diacritics in Hebrew text
Janet: Thanks! SBL Hebrew works much better. SBL BibLit does even better with subtle shifts in the diacritics.
Thanks for the pointers!

Re: Misalignment of diacritics in Hebrew text
I have similar problem with misalignment of diacritics in Hebrew text regardless of what font I put it in. All unicode. Times New Roman or Ezra SIL. SBL Translit actually looked good. But everything shifts. Here's the text: Jer 46:10 וְֽהַיּ֨וֹם הַה֜וּא לַאדֹנָ֧י יְהוִ֣ה צְבָא֗וֹת י֤וֹם נְקָמָה֙ לְה...

Re: critical edition
I've been interested in the same thing. I wanted to change the reference style so that no number or letter showed up in the text body. Here's an idea for a work around: You can control the style for the note in the text body and make it invisible when you go to print it. You could also make it very ...

Re: Auto-title Find and Replace?
The reason for wanting to incorporate find and replace into auto titles is so that I can automate them. But what about another salutation: OMPL? If I could find and replace certain markers around auto-titles to create the necessary language needed for OMPL, then I could create an OMPL text file and ...

Re: What's next for Mellel 3.4?
The option to get ride of the page divider in draft mode and other modes would be a huge win. Until a paper is being printed, its not necessary to be shown. Also, a split view (i.e. like Scrivener) - a feature to allow for seeing multiple places in a document (e.g. the text body and the footnote/end...

Re: New Video - Cross Reference
Videos presenting these awesome features are great. But I think they are little daunting the newbie Mellel user when they come in at 18mins. Maybe a shorter 5min video would be better.
Food for thought.

Re: Dealing with a large doc
The copy and paste option isn't the greatest (for the reasons stated above). It would be much more efficient and effective to have dropdown box to select elements in the outline and then click print or export to PDF etc. The outline is amazing feature but could use nice improvements, one of which co...

Re: Dealing with a large doc
Though this is an old post, is there anyone who can speak to the max size mellel doc that they've created/worked in? I ask because I'd like to work on a large text and rather than break it up (because Mellel does not allow, as far as I'm aware, to merge files together nicely). I estimate at least 10...

Re: Advice on Making a Bilingual Booklet
So as others have stated, independent text flows for columns would be a gem. Here I'll I'll only offer my vote for this feature in future versions. But I'd also like to voice a vote for improving tables in a way that could serve as a nice work around. Currently cells in tables don't flow over to the...

Re: Footnote Attributes
Unless you need to stay within the count of previous notes, I'd suggest just creating a separate stream for that page. On a whole though, I'd love to see more sophistication in notes attributes, both in how they show up in the body and in the note itself. For example, it would be nice to have predet...

iOS app - Outline
Love the iOS app. Love how it matches what I see on my Mac app (e.g. invisibles). Brilliant! But I found one place where its not matching: Outline. On my Mac I have "Show Tag Levels Separately" checked. But on my iPad they all stream together. Also, with the Outline, it would really helpfu...

Re: feature request: line which seperates notestreams
On this issue of notes, would it be possible to create a footnote with a reference symbol of 'none'? I see all kinds of options for the 'type' (e.g. arabic, asterisk, etc) but no 'none' option. And it needs to have no space. This may sound like counter productive, but sometimes I need the plain text...
