Re: Alarm sounds
That's a known issue with Snow Leopard, we believe it is due to some bug in the operating system and we are waiting Apple's response regarding this.

Re: Little problem with removing markers
Maybe you're not removing the marker from the return character at the end of the paragraph? Try triple clicking to select the whole paragraph and apply "none"

Re: Local style sheet?
You can do this but indirectly. A. Create a new style set and assign it to your document B. Open the style sets window and delete the style set The deletion will remove the style set from the system but not from the document and you'll be able to add, remove and edit styles in the set. But remember ...

Re: Mellel won't startup since reinstallation under snow leopard
It could be that your style sets files have been damaged when you edited them with 2.6.1 under Snow Leopard. I suggest removing the style sets and restoring them from documents, preferably documents that haven't been edited with 2.6.1 Does that mean that if we did not change/work on our style sets ...

Re: No "Edit style sets…" under Snow Leopard
It is possible that one of your style sets was corrupted in a not very obvious (and crash causing) way when you worked with 2.6.1 on SL and that this corruption manifested itself in a crash only after you upgraded to 2.6.2. It is also possible, of-course, that 2.6.2 is not totally bug free and that ...

Re: Mellel won't startup since reinstallation under snow leopard
Dean, Yes, you should upgrade. I'm glad that you didn't see any issues with 2.6.1 under Snow Leopard but that doesn't mean that you won't see any issues in the future. The update is, of-course, free of charge and doesn't add anything beyond the SL bug fix. tk26, It could be that your style sets file...

Re: Mellel won't startup since reinstallation under snow leopard
I'm afraid there is a know issue with Mellel 2.6.1 under Snow Leopard. We recommend not using it with Snow Leopard until we issue a fix in the next few days.

Re: Snow Leopard (10.6) compatibility -- from RedleX
We recommend not working with Snow Leopard and Mellel 2.6.1 or builds of Mellel 2.7 prior to build 23. The problem may, under some circumstances cause corruptions in saved files, the fix may not fix these problems. Once we confirm our fix to the problem we will issue an update for Mellel 2.6.1. We a...

Re: Mellel and the Snow Leopard
The crash looks like a corrupt font cache. Try using OnyX or a similar utility (I'm not sure about snow leopard compatibility though) to clear that.
Re: SVN again
To be honest, I think the real bug here is the way svn does its thing. Other version control systems (for example, Perforce) work just fine without putting hidden folders all over the place and I'm pretty sure that the svn way causes trouble beyond issues with Mellel. Note that it is also incorrect ...

Re: All Mellel files simultaneously reduced to Zero KB
I'm afraid this may be a problem with iDisk. AFAIK iDisk doesn't support package documents like the ones Mellel uses and this can cause problems like deleting the contents of your files. I can't think of a way a malfunction in Mellel 2.6 could have caused this, unless you opened the files and re-sav...
