Indexing would be my number 1 feature.

I see no way to do what you wish. Maybe just ask the Redlers to implement it : )

Just thinking... you might try to emulate line numbering with "Lists". This way, you would have full control on what you want.

Lot of negative reviews here! For my part, I'm probably not a "power-user" but Mellel does a really fine job for me and I do not use all the features. And I'll wait before I'll upgrade to Lion. There is always problems with a new OS, with many softwares. No use to pin one specifically. It'...
