I've used Mellel since 2003. It's my favorite word processor, and still a joy to use.

Count me in, too. It would be useful in many ways.

I also want to see an option to create a floating window. I'd use it for collecting information and, especially, for notes.

Two posts above yours, there's a thread dealing with the same problem. It contains a temporary solution that might work for you, until the Redlers can come up with a real fix for the problem. I posted this in case you missed that thread.
