palettes moving off-screen

This is the first time this has happened to me, I launched Mellel with my recently open document, and my palettes were partly hidden at the top of my screen. Here's what the top right corner of my screen looked like: http://img292.imageshack.us/img292/9206/picture1qb8.png I couldn't move them back w...

Bump. I don't know much about LaTex, but I was just reading about it, and this might be interesting to have as an option (whether or not the Redlers do it). Maybe you can somehow have the user define how each style will translate to a LaTex command, or that might be what people have in mind already....

I couldn't fit this in the "No" answer, but it should say the following: "I am also completely indifferent to the suffering of people who must use MS Word, including young children just learning to use a computer as well as future generations. Also, by not caring about the attractiven...

RTF file that recognizes styles

I don't think this has been formally requested here, correct me if I'm wrong. I would guess that if it was possible or easy given the constraints of the Mellel format, then we'd already have it. But what I'd really like is to be able to export to RTF and have it recognize styles. When this was discu...

I have no particular objections, but I'm just wondering, if no one else (in other apps) could make changes to the hybrid pdf that you send, then what is the advantage? (Aside from the Devonthink issue) It seems no different than sending out a regular pdf now, unless the only difference is actually t...

can you make a table look like this?

I'm sure you can replicate something like this in Mellel, but is there a relatively easy way of doing it?

I was thinking this as well. On my 12" screen, every bit counts.

highlight cursor position in outline pane

If possible, I'd like to have the option for auto-titles in the outline pane to be highlighted (unobtrusively) based on the position of the cursor in the text.

Out of sheer curiosity, I'd like to know why there's the desire to have the Redlers furnish a printed copy of the same manual they supply with each version online in a hardcopy form, versus printing out the exact same material yourself. For the same reason I would pay more for a book than a stack o...

That was a joke by the way. I realize it may not work, but I've seen other developers offer a printed manual, so just something to consider.

selling a hard copy of manual

I don't know if this has been mentioned before. Has there been any thought given to selling a hard copy of the manual? You might include the beginner's tutorial and some of the others for the ultimate definitive guide to Mellel (until the next version), to be carried with you at all times. I put it ...

making several headers into auto-titles

This might have a broader use within Mellel, but I was thinking specifically about going from a document that you imported from Word that had been previously written in Mellel. If you have headings that are numbered in some way, I wonder if it's possible to have Mellel recognize them as potential au...

I think it doesn’t make sense to match those shortcuts. Numbe one reason: it doesn’t work. I see your point about difficulties with toggling, but it doesn't seem inconceivable to me that Mellel might be able to figure out which style variation you're trying to switch to. More simply, as Ori read th...

If I understand this correctly, this is really a request for customisable keyboard shortcuts, where Cmd+B, for example, would be used in lieu of F2, Cmd+I instead of F3, etc. Right? Yes. And if it's possible, it'd be ideal to have it toggle those attributes on and off (by moving between style varia...
