Thanks, Ori, for the great news! I'm really looking forward to the new version! And I dearly hope text boxes will make it to this version too. And I hope it will be possible to connect text boxes with each other, so that the text can flow through a series of text boxes, like for instance in Indesign...

But the question was about splitting, not about adding …

I have exactly the same problem as discussed in this old thread. Is it still true that a long Mellel table can't be split into several smaller tables? Anyway, I wouldn't know how to do this.

@ nicka: that was my interpretation as well! But I can get excited too by the idea that in a future which might not be too distant, we'll all have at our disposal such an excellent and such a feature-rich wordprocessor!

Flowing text around text boxes, marginalia, indexing, versioning/comment tools … sounds like a beautiful symphony! I would like to say: "Can I give you a hand?"; but unfortunately I have nothing to offer you … Anyway, thanks for the additional information, Ori, and keep up the splendid work!

I have a problem with importing images which prevents me from positioning them directly under a piece of text. When I import an image into a document (Insert > Image), and then deselect the image, alongside its right (or left) border a kind of flashing line appears, which is higher than the image it...

Thanks for your double answer, Ori, and good to hear that soon we will have (or might have) "flowing text around images". Which means that my readers for my students in the future will look definitely better than they do now! But …… does "flowing text around images" mean what it ...

Ah, that's a very nice example of "false friends" between English and Italian! In Italian, a language with which I am much more familiar than with English, "mito" can also stand for something real which is indeed excellent; and now I realize that the English word "myth"...

Yes, this is an issue that has already been discussed many times. But I'm not sure whether in the view of the developers this is a bug, o rather intended behaviour. Anyway, I too hope this will change in the future.

But even with a section break the footnotes should be at the bottom of the page, not somewhere in the middle. I know that's not how things work in the present version of Mellel, but this should definitely change in a future version.
