List item with multiple paragraphs

Hello! I have to typeset a list that contains multiple paragraphs inside single list item, like this: • Youthing blues to does ways vary that twant trys pulls bends.    Feelineslike it s syncopatic root and as diffs he lines aboves. Ithat    cliches root are you forget to both three put and.    Area...

(…) in-line editing, enhanced by a highlighted border around the auto-title, and activated by double-click, would do the trick, I think. I would even go as far as leaving out the double click, I hate to use the mouse when writing. I wish that the autotitles were simply a part of the text and I wish...

Right, I came to the same conclusion. I thought it could look a bit like the “invisible” text areas in iApps, for example the fields in the iCal drawer. I’d select the command for a new autotitle and an empty shadowed box would appear with the cursor inside. Jumping out of the frame is a question, b...

Feature request: Auto-title dialog as a sheet

I use Mellel for translating, so that I have the upper half of the screen filled with the source text and the lower half of the screen filled with Mellel. Right now the auto-title insertion dialog always pops up in the middle of the screen and always covers the source text. I would like to do someth...

Re: window width, outline pane, drag-creating autotitles

i sometimes like to work with two documents parallel, one for quick thoughts and one for writing the proper text. in this case it's nice to have the "thoughts document" as a narrow vertical strip on one side. In this case You might be interested in the split window feature request. The po...

Re: window width, outline pane, drag-creating autotitles

mellel document window shrinkable to a narrower width (at least when toolbar and paragraph ruler are not shown). How shrinkable is that? Right now I can shrink the window down to ~550 pixels, is that not enough? (Just curious.) higlighting of the cursor position in the outline pane See this thread ...

Don, yes I want the exact opposite. I don't want the character or paragraph attributes from what is on the clipboard to be pasted in mellel. The text should match the paragraph and character style of where the cursor is. Doesn’t this already sort-of-work? Because this is what Paste plain text actua...

This is a bit similar to the Paragraph spacing in lists feature request. It might be better to address these issues together? (I am certainly not saying that you should have not submitted this feature request, I just wanted to link these two issues.)

Re: paste and match style

And I would go one step further and say that we should be able to assign the shortcut keys for the different pasting options in Mellel's pref's. I would rather have command>v be paste and match style. Anyone who wants customizable shortcuts should vote in the appropriate poll . Until such thing is ...

The auto-title shades can be turned off using the Show button at the bottom left corner of the window, just check off the “Auto-titles” item.

I could be completely wrong here. But I would like to discern whether unlimited undo is mostly a luxury item which contributes to bloat and forced hardware upgrades. This is a serious issue for people who oversee underfunded school/academic labs. It is also a big problem in places which are lucky e...

please don't let undo be infinitely persistent--I don't want someone to get my document and be able to undo it. They might see something that they should not see. Nobody wants that – this is about being able to undo all changes made since opening the document. I do not think this would be a major r...

Go and read the Elements of Typographic Style carefully, it is a great book and contains all the information You need. The first eight chapters (that is about 200 pages) should give You enough information to make a decent document. Whenever You feel to be overwhelmed by options, take a deep breath, ...

This is an interesting topic. Because if I understand the issue correctly, Mellel documents sometimes do not contain all the information to make them easily processed with XSL. For example the autotitles are defined in the style and if one uses global styles (I do, for it would be a mess otherwise),...
