This is really a major problem for people who did not buy Mellel through the apple store. The cloud saving does not work with the desktop app, and there is no integration with Dropbox, so you have to use clunky workarounds to work with your docs and sync them. Try to download and install the latest beta and see if that's working better.

Or try this link to download the Mellel 3.3.7 and then update to the latest version 3.3.8 from within the application itself.

In the latest beta of Mellel, Redlers has fixed the bad XML code mentioned in my previous reply. That's really good news!
