unable to connect with mellel

Hello there,

I am trying to get the new update. Unfortunatlly I could not be able to connect with the official web page and the other alternative that the update is available. do you have any suggestion? for your information I did permission repair, and have the latest security update.

Zdula, please be more specific.

What do you mean you can't connect?
What error message do you get?
Have up tried downloading the upgrade from VersionTracker? MacUpdate?

Janet,

Thank you for coming back to my request. This is the error message I get

Safari could not open the page “http://www.connectnw.com/redlers/mellel22.dmg.zip” because the server stopped responding.

I also tried with firefox, I get the same message. I tried to get the new update from Ridlers, MacUpdate and Version Trucker. For unknown reason (s) I have this issue. Otherwise I do not have any problem in my browsing.

Zdula,

Sounds like a specific system problem on your computer.

Just for starters,
-- I would run regular system maintenance,
-- then I would backup Mellel (including the plist files) and delete everything having to do with the application,
-- I'd run maintenance again, and
-- finally I'd install a fresh copy of Mellel.

If that doesn't work, I'd contact tech support.

Janet,

Thank you for your help. I followed your instruction, nothing happned. Finally I downloaded the latest Mellel in my other computer and get it to my powerbook with cd. Once I loaded the latest mellel everything works fine. I clicked the "check update" button it connected me with http://www.mellel.com. Everything works fine. May be my earliest mellel had some kind of corrouption. I do not know.
