Horizontal position on page

Post by gpolberd » Wed Sep 05, 2007 8:48 pm

Is there any way to view at what point the cursor is in the horizontal plane of the text? Sometimes I want to make sure that two lines are in alignment without having to worry about columns when using tabs would be awkward. The spacing data is not shown in any information panel I've looked at. Thanks!!

Sorry. no. The most you can do is estimate by drawing an imaginary line in your mind's eye between the point of the cursor and the Ruler.

As a workaround you could try AquaRuler:

It seems to work well with Mellel.
