Where are my section breaks?
Is there a way to "reveal symbols" or something so I can see where I made a section break?

You should be able to do this in Preferences -> Appearance.

bluedance, click the "Show" button at the bottom left of your document. Is section break selected?

The options you set up in the Preferences are only valid for newly created documents. If you like to change the viewing options for your current document, you should use the “View” drop down menu at the bottom left of the main Mellel window (at the status bar). Here, you should find a “section break” entry which could be toggled (on and off) by a simple click.
